Hi folks!Sorry to see the disussion about the new Connie getting sidetracked into DRM.In a nutshell, all our products come wrapped with a simple DRM system - that's Digital Rights Management for those that don't like TLAs - or, in other words, they are securely wrapped. Once you've installed and unlocked a product from Just Flight you can uninstall it (or FS) and re-install as many times as you like on the same PC. No need for more unlock codes, fees or any other oddities. Put another way - you have an unlimited number of installs with any Just Flight product - you are not limited to three installs - as vgbaron quite rightly points out, he has installed products many times without problems.However, if you re-install Windows or change PC (or want to put another copy on your home or work PC) then you will need to UNLOCK the software again. In this case you simply enter the last unlock code we sent you. Once unlocked we'll automatically send you a new code for use in the future.We have a proper support desk populated by human beings (well, mostly - still waiting for the DNA test results on a couple of them) so if you ever get a problem installing/uninstalling unlocking/un-unlocking / deleting/ undeleting hard drive disaster or whatever, just let us know and we'll do our best to fix it or help - we won't simply charge you. Unlike some DRM users we don't automatically treat all our customers as potential pirates and, for us, the DRM we use is simply a useful 'shopping bag' in which to place your purchase.We allow each customer an automatic three UNLOCKS. That means you can re-format your PC three times or unlock on three other PCs. This seems a fair enough compromise to us. If you need further unlocks because of a problem with your PC or a support problem, then simply ask us. If, however, you don't want to ask us, then for subsequent unlocks you can choose to pay us an admin fee (

Just Flight has never given me a problem about unlocking software. I didn't like their method (and still prefer a simple code like Wilco provides me) until I learned that as soon as I get an email with the new codes (which happens automatically if you reinstall) I copy those into my "Doomsday" file for next time. Otherwise, I get emails lost or mixed up and codes out of sequence and it gets messy.I also have Simon's email address there just in case :-)I have found the Connie to be a good compromise from the demands of the A2A Stratocruiser, which is a great product, but hard to keep up with for casual use.And it has flames.Did I mention the flames?Looks like I have six Just Flight products in my Doomsday File.

I downloaded and installed the aircraft without incident. There were no problems with purchase either.Some observations:My first flight from the active was not so great. I firewalled the throttles and input one click of flaps. The aircraft gained altutude at first but then fell out of the sky. I think there were two reasons for this. I don't think one click of flaps was sufficient even though the engines were max'd. Second, the nose-up attitude was too steep. This is not a modern jet aircraft. It will takes its own time in getting to altitude.I tried a second flight with two changes - two clicks of flaps and a very shallow up attitude. I had no problems here. Just remember that the bird, even at max power, will not fly if you point the nose towards space. BTW - if you think raising the gear will get you into the air more efficiently (if you use too much nose-up attitude) - forget it. If your "shooting the moon" and you raise the gear, you're still going down.During my second flight I tried a landing. Be aware that this aircraft will drop like a rock if you reduce power too much during a landing. The last flap setting makes a HUGE wing and unless you have enough altitude and speed you will crash into the approach lights. Keep your power up somewhat and watch the flap settings. Otherwise, this aircraft is a joy to fly.As for the graphics - I thought the whole package was terrific. I'm also one that likes a clean aircraft so the colors (especially the polished aluminum) and the flight deck were very well done. And those flames and smoke - just super. I almost forgot - the sound is really fantastic. Reducing power produces a wonderful props effect that I haven't heard from other piston-engined products.Recommendation - GO GET IT. I have to agree about some of the textures in the vc. They are so dark it is up for grabs whether there are missing textures or just really black. Black doesn't do well. I hope they're not using "black" black.I don't know if you are considering livery requests, but there is a flying Super Connie out of Kansas City in a white TWA paint that would look really nice. I've already spoken with the owners and they would be happy to see their airplane so memorialized (I directed them to your website and sent them a screen shot... gosh, what an airplane nerd I am).
