MD-11 and TOPCAT

Recommended Posts

Is anyone using TOPCAT with the MD-11?If you are, I'd be grateful for your thoughts/recommendations. As I also have the PMDG B744 and LDS B763, I'm beginning to think about this program.Best!

I've used it for a few months and it just keeps getting better and better. The best part about this program (aside the fact that it just works), is that the developer is engaged in his forum, takes suggestions, and implements them if they make sense and add to the program. I love it!

Hi,the question was : " MD11 and TOPCAT " - no doubt TOPCAT is a great tool for the BOEING family, but . . .Since the performance data for the MD11 ( an adopted part of the BOEING family . . ) are handled as TOPSECRET, is the new version incl. MD11as good as for the other aircraft ?

Kind of a bummer that the data is for GE versions only. I was hoping for P&W too. Maybe they're still working on it.

Thank you all for your replies. I love that, post a question, go to bed and wake up the next day with a whole bunch of posts.Karl-Heinz, I see your point, but am not that much of a hardcore simmer. I'm perfectly happy with 'accurate enough for a PC sim' but thanks anyway for a valid point.Chris - yes, I agree, but as above, it'd probably be good enough for me. Again, valid point though.

I agree it would be good to have P&W data, but it shouldnt be a big deal as the P&W produce more thrust so there shouldn't be any safety issues.Rob
