September 2, 200916 yr I bought it. Can't go wrong for 15 bucks. FSNav seems to load faster. Not sure about load times with FS9. That's initial load times. Good enough for me though considering the money I've wasted on other things. It is just a nice feeling to know your hard drive is defraged. Know what I mean? So why was this post posted here as opposed to the FS9 or FSX forums?JimCYWG
September 2, 200916 yr Nick, please let us know after you've had a chance to look at v12. I got a notice to get v12 at a discount and would get that if it's equal to or better than v11. Thanks.

Thanks.Chuck, I may not make that dedline. They sent me a copy of it but I simply do not have a day to spare to review it and probably wont for at least a few weeksIf you guys want my opinion.. is it possible something they did will make the product better or allow a user to gain some perf? Yes, but I will be VERY FRANK.. if you are already using a high performance hard drive like a Vrap and O&O the way I instructed, I really doubt you would see any real change.I can see benefit to one of the new features which allows moving files on a single hard drive whereby the OS and all other software lives on one partition but I see NO benefit to doing that with a dedicated HDD for MSFS
September 3, 200916 yr FWIW, I did the v12 upgrade and wound up applying it to my FSX rig. With both the monitoring and zone features turned off for now, it appears to function the same as v11, but perhaps a bit faster on the defrag times. Although I will keep the Complete\Name method of defrag for my FSX drive, I am contemplating using the zone feature for my OS (C:) drive and see if helps. I am interested in its ability to push the Windows and Program Files dirs out to the edge and perhaps put my GEX and REX install-dirs towards the inside portion of the platters (seldom used). It really gives you the power of Ultimate Defrag (but easier), with the confidence of O&O defrag for the Complete\Name method. Food for thought... Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE

September 3, 200916 yr Bummer.. I was on vacation and missed out on the special. Any chance they will do the offer again?AlanI would e-mail them and ask. They have very good e-mail customer support as I have used it in the past for a free upgrade after an initial purchase. It can't hurt to ask... You might quote 'Andreas Blaeser' name and the date of his post at Simviation. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
