A plane request using DX10 Preview Mode

Featured Replies

Everyone,I would like to find a good Amphibian with landing gear, as the FSX Beaver is (as you know) only equipped for water landings. I do have the FS9 amphibian, and Carendo StationAir, but as is well documented, on some aircraft, you lose the outside textures when using the DX10 Preview.So...does anybody know what good both air/water Amphibian is out there that shows properly in DX10?Hope so...:)Cheers,

Real Air Scout package is a must. Have you got the updated (and FREE) High Res Goose? http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?app=dow...mp;showfile=633

Take a look at Aerosoft's PBY Catalina - very good one. Besides - Beaver X does have few variants with floats + gears i think. Also the Bushawk (from Aerosoft) has the capability to land on dry and wet runways. But it is extremely heavy on frames

Thank you for pointing the above out. Do you know for sure though...does this aircraft show proplery in DX10 Mode? That's very important to me. :)Thanks againMitch

I can't beleive I forgot the Catalina!Yes, it absolutely does display properly in DX10. It's a slow old bird but beautifully rendered. I think you are going to love the Goose though.

Don't forget the Quest Kodiak by Lionheart Creations! It's a great aircraft with an Amphib version (with wheels) and it works great in DX10.http://www.lionheartcreations.comGo buy it NOW!Just kidding...But seriously, it's a great aircraft from a great designer with great support and constant updates.

What about rhe default Goose wiith the OZX HD Redux enhancements (textures, 3D panel and effects)? For me it's much, much better than any payware.

That's the Goose I'm talking about. And don't forget to get Banana Bob's prop replacements to finish it off (the props in your screenshots look terrible :() - http://forum.siminsider.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=371

And if you haven't seen it, their new EPIC for FSX is just out, with all new avionics, really a fun plane!!! Can I ask a dumb question, what is DX 10?? I have XP with the SP 1 and 2, and think this is DX9, but not sure.........is it an addon and if so, where do I get it.......kinda think this is something with Vista?? I will be installing the MS v7 in a few weeks, so maybe that will have the DX10?? B42L8
