September 3, 200916 yr Andy, you might also find this useful:http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...t&Go=SearchIt adds an Icon to any panel which brings up the Spot (or sometimes called Chase) view in a small box while you are still in cockpit view. The Spot view can be adjusted using your hat switch. It is useful for a last minute quick check to see if yiur gear is really down - amongst other things.Thank you David i will try that out as well.I can hardly get into the cockpit,I keep tripping over all those icons.Andy :(
September 4, 200916 yr Thank you David i will try that out as well.I can hardly get into the cockpit,I keep tripping over all those icons.Andy :(Hello DavidI have installed your chase view icon, and it is as you say a useful aid for pushback, taxxing etc(never thought about using chase for that purpose before either)There is however one little problem. When I call up the chase to view pushback etc that's fine, but when i switch back to my normal full screen spot view my aircraft appears huge and i have fiddle about with view options to get back to a more manageable size again.I don't know if you have had a similar experience?Andy
September 4, 200916 yr Hi mgh,Maybe you missed one of the previous posts, where I added/explained the UpdateFrequency.Because, without that and with low framerates (<10 or so), you DO get the problem occasionally where the gauge skips 2 views instead of one :-)Cheers, RobWell. I don't fly at frame rates less than 20 so I haven't noticed that problem. Gerry Howard

No change in aircraft size at for me.

September 4, 200916 yr Hi Joe,Yes, actually very easy..In the line (P:ACTIVE VIEW MODE,enum) 2 == replace the 2 by 3, and name the gauge SkipTower.xml or so.Now the TowerView is skipped instead of the VCView.Cheers, RobPS: Note the remark about adding UpdateFrequency in the previous post. Excellent,Now just 1 more question.I can edit panels and icons, gauge coding has me baffled. Can this gauge be assigned to an icon so I can turn off tower view as I fly around and turn it back on as I land?Really appreciate your time and effort Rob.Guys (and gals) like you add so much to this hobby for so many that you will never know. Thanks again,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
September 5, 200916 yr Opa Quote: '... probably still be flying paper airplanes.' (With no way to eliminate seeing the VC when using the 'S' key-cheesh-what a disaster!!!!-hehe). (That's on topic). I just don't know about simmers with them type of 'problem'. But, that's how the wheel got invented, I guess. People got tired of pulling loads on skids. And Rob, you're too modest. You help Doug (and vice versa, I presume. Maybe more versa?) And the beauty is that your 'gauges' work good. So do Doug's, but he is a specialist, where you are into all sorts of 'stuff' (such as 'novc' gauge, etc). 'Guru of Gauges' is right on.Chuck BNapamule
