September 10, 200916 yr The replacement installer won't let me install the aircraft as the registry thinks the add-on is already installed. The installer directs me to Window's 'Add & Remove Programs' but there is not entry in 'Add & Remove Programs' for the Skysim DC9. Does anyone know the registry key that needs to get deleted that would allow the installer to work? SkySim's oversight is proving to be quite a headache...Try these registry key cleaners from the Skysimulations sitehttp://www.skysimulations.com/index.php?fr...at=DC-9%20Setup
September 10, 200916 yr Hi,Can anyone (who actually succeeded installing it) tell us how the aircraft and panel is?How accurate are the systems rendered? Is it worth the money?I don't know the track record of SkySim and I'm very cautious to by it.Lately I had a few unpleasant surprises with newly acquired aircraft and I don't want to fork out again money for nothing. Please advice,Egbert Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
September 10, 200916 yr It's a fun plane. I'm a Level-D guy myself, but had to have the Dc-9'osaurus. The systems are there, and in a decent form. You can set her up for start up and it's pretty fun. I'd compare the systems to HJG's DC-8 panel (a little more in depth), save for you get a virtual cockpit in this model. Sounds are decent, fun to fly. It's hard to sum this plane up!I'm happy with it... I'd be happier if it were $25, as that's what I feel it's worth. No buyer's remorse though, and I'll be using it! ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
September 11, 200916 yr Thanks everyone for helping me get this thing installed. Now that I can see it in action on my machine I'm very impressed with the effort. Great job Sky Simulations... September 11, 200916 yr I'm happy with it... I'd be happier if it were $25, as that's what I feel it's worth. No buyer's remorse though, and I'll be using it!it's a fun plane alright, lots to click and push and pull. You've got to manage your engines very well, because it builds up speed rather quickly. Likewise the autopilot works, but it's not case of pre-dailing your altitude and letting the plane do the rest - you really have to keep an eye on things to avoid overshooting your assigned altitude. the sounds are wonderfull, the external textures very sharp and it's a grand plane to hand-fly. A personal opinion - i found the textures in the VC somewhat disappointing. They lack the sharpness of the similar and similarly priced Flight-1 MD80 textures. It might be just my setup, but there's a lot of grey textures (eg on the hydraulic panel in the VC) which i find somewhat off-putting. A minor point, but all-in-all, I'm happy with the DC-9. I agree with ZachLW though - had it been 25euro instead of 35euro, i'd have been *very* happy. Overall though, i'd give it a 4/5.//s
September 12, 200916 yr I just flew my first flight but am having issues with the pressurization. I followed the tutorial but my pressure never seemed to increase within the aircraft until I eventually get a pressure alarm. Are there any other key settings outside pressurization that need to be set correctly to have it work correctly? I'm wondering if using Gatekeeper to start at a Cold and Dark setting might be the issue. Has anyone else experienced this?Sincerely,Eric
