October 12, 200916 yr Tempted by the positive reactions to these newer drivers I decided to try them but I cannot get nHancer nor the Nvidia control panel to activate AA, that is with both 182.50 and the 191.07 drivers.Removed existing drivers in safe mode, cleaned with 'Driver cleaner Pro' each time and installed 2.5.7 version of nHancer.Going back to 174.74 drivers which do activate AA.Card is a 8800GT

October 13, 200916 yr So another person having the same AA issue....not sure why this is happening. :( ShezI had the same issue with no AA. The new enhancer wants you to use the nhance app AA. To fully use the cards AA and have it off in FSX you will need to reinstall nhancer. when it asks about importing your old FSX profile DONT. Build a new one from scratch and then it will work, at least thats what I did. But..... I removed it and went back to 182.50 as I feel it performs much better, not to mention I had issues with the new driver with FarCry2. Jim Wenham

October 14, 200916 yr So you are saying we should reinstall Windows? I rather not thank you. :Rolling Eyes: In fact my installation was on pretty much a new install of WinXP.I am pretty sure my installation was not "botched up". :Talking Ear Off: ShezLet
October 14, 200916 yr Please tell me where I have gone wrong and enlighten me then. I am always welcome to soak up some new knowledge. To just say because it works for me and not for you it is your OS or Registry does not take into account the almost infinite number of variables when it comes to PC's including the fact we are not even all talking about the same video cards here...You just answered your own question,
October 14, 200916 yr You telling people that their system is botched is not a good approach to help them fix their problemI never gave the OS being botched as the only possible cause; I said it
October 15, 200916 yr So again, unless I am misunderstanding here, your only suggestion is to re-install the O/S? I will just stick with the 182.50 in that case. Thanks,-PIf the driver cleaner method isn
October 15, 200916 yr Author After playing around with all 19x.xx drivers, I decided to go back to 182.50/nHancer 2.5.1.I think that I will just stay with this combo as it certainly brings to the table, great video performance, bar none. Everything, sharp and clear.Just like my ATI setup with older v7.10's as the best display on the P4 3.4GHz, it truly seems that the above combo is the sweet spot. Well, at least for my i7-975/GTX285 setup.
