Cerasim 412

Featured Replies

Hello, I have the Cerasim 412 helicopter. I am having problems with it not starting. If I load the helicopter running, I can shut it off and start it up all day, but if I save the game and come back to it later, the helicopter will not start and yes I am doing the correct start procedure. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

Yeah I have that helicopter. Had it since the day it came out and its my favorite chopper so far.Have you applied all the patches so far?Think there are two patches, the last one being the one that added the nice VC night lighting.I have never had a problem starting the a/c as you are.Perhaps you could shoot them an email on their site and see what they say.

Yeah I have applied the 2 patches and I believe that one of the patches is the problem because I got it before both of those patches came out and I never had that problem. I emailed them and they gave me the checklist to go over and said that they do not have that problem, so no luck there.

After the patches, I have had NO problem with this helicopter. It's great!Stan

this is a great helicopter..I just have this problem after the patches lol

Do you load the default Cessna 172 before loading up the heli saved flight. Where did you get this heli?

No I do not.. Its the Cera Sim 412. www.cerasimaircraft.com

Since it wouldn't take very long, maybe you should uninstall it and then reinstall it, the 412 that is, not FSX. Then install the first patch and try it. If, it's ok, apply the second patch and test again. If the second patch breaks it, then you will at least no the source of the problem. Then you could email their support and let them know in detail what happened.

Nice video they made! Why not try loading the default Cessna first then your heli saved flight.

I think I will un install it first and see what happens.

I realize this thread is a couple of months old, but I ran into the same problem after purchasing the Cerasim Bell 412 earlier today (engines cutting out after reaching ~ 75% N1 despite using the correct startup procedure). In case someone else has the same problem and reads this, here is a solution:My usual procedure to load addon aircraft is to load the default Cessna first, turn everything off, then load the addon, but this does not work with the 412. Cerasim were very quick to respond to my support request (submitted using a contact form on their web page, they do not have a support forum), and they told me to first load the Cessna, leave it running and turn on the fuel pump, then load the 412. Next shut everything down according to the checklist and save the flight. Using this saved flight as the starting point I'm finally able to start the 412 from cold and dark.

Check to see if the Helicopters settings are set to cold and dark....

I find it more difficult to start them when in this setting.....

But you are answering a topic posted over 3 years ago.  Stop it!  If a person wants to know how to do something, he/she should post a new topic.  This topic is locked.
