MS FSX Acceleration: 'must have' add-ons

Featured Replies

Hello!I just setup FSX Acceleration and I would like to know what I MUST have as a starter kit; I'm thinking of scenery (lights, sky, mesh, weather...) or general airplanes (lights, parameter tuning...) improvements or mission packs. Or whatever you think is useful.I also consider commercial products. Is there any packaged list? Thanks!

I suggest 5 global addon's to start with:- FS Global 2010 - precise world wide altitude mesh- REX 2.0 - high quality textures including water, clouds, runways, etc- A2A-PiperJ3 Cub - stunning light aircraft- RealAir Duke B60 - state of the art twin aircraft- PMDG MD11 - state of the art airliner

Best regards from RelaxX

I'd also add ASA from HiFiSim for weather.

I really like the Duke - one of my all time favorites!!!http://realairsimulations.com/duke09/intro...ge=duke09_introThe F1 Mustang is also a neat little jet:http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=f1mustangEaglesoft's Cirrus SR22 G3 Turbo is another great one:http://eaglesoftdg.com/CirrusSR22G2_G3T.htmFinally I'd like to recommend you get the Lotus L39, it sets a new standard for FSX aircraft:http://lotussim.com/

Definately have to recomment the Eaglesoft Cessna Citation Xv2. It is an outstanding and very complex corporate jet. Cessna CitationXv2 for FSXAlso another that I am really looking forward to being released is the new VRS Superbug Superbug for FSX!Bob

I will echo the earlier recommendations:Scenery and Environment-REX (Real Environment Extreme 2.0)-UTX (Ultimate Terrain X - U.S., Canada, Europe; depends on your region)-Ground Environment X-FS Global (2008, or 2010)Aircraft (GA)-A2A Piper J Cub & Accu Sim-Anything by Carenado (the native FSX / DX10 variants)Aircraft (Commercial)-Anything by PMDG (747; MD-11)-Level-D 767-300-FeelThere/Wlico E-Jets (170, 190)It all depends on the kind of flying (GA; Commercial; Military; VFR; IFR; etc.) you want to experience and where you want to do it. There are also a lot of good FREEWARE scenery for specific regions, so be sure to check the AVSIM library for local airports and things :(

Wow! Thanks a lot to everyone. I'll google all your recomendations.I saw noone mentioned aircrafts light enhancements, but I remember some xeon light somenthing...And... I'll watch my wallet, but it looks like this will take a lot of time, too! ;)PS: any well made mission pack?I read FSX Gold has more missions: what are they like? Anything similar to be found anywhere else?

Hi Dario! Stay posted on this project if you want a well done mission pack! http://freeskyprod.com/ I guarantee is will be the best missions you ever play in FSX Acceleration! We will most likely be nearing completion by the end of this month or perhaps Jan! :(
