January 17, 201016 yr Hi, I bought the MD-11 full manual set a couple weeks ago and they are really awesome!! I was just wondering if there will be a complete set of printed manuals for the upcoming 737 NGX like laminated checklists, FMS guides, Quick reference manuals? If so, how many manuals and what type of manuals will there be?Thanks,Jeff Smith
January 19, 201016 yr I wonder how well that would sell? Something all bound up nice like the Lock On Manuals you could once get. Or even the Falcon 4 manuals.I normally like to read pdf files but for a 737 it would be wonderful to have printed manuals and charts/flip bindersnm I just noticed the manuals on their site. 170 bucks for the complete md11 set.... yikes!!! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
January 19, 201016 yr ... Or even the Falcon 4 manuals.Sorry to get off topic for a minute, but I miss F4. That was the first manual I ever had in a sim that was quite professional looking. I just had a few memories of it reading you mention it. It was awesome. I had the first back in the dos days that was at that time, incredible for it's erra.I also had a laugh remembering the install order of that, haha. So many different freeware options and varying methods. It was an astronomical install compared to FSX+Addons I think. I haven't touched it in years but still have it. It was my first cockpit building project actually.I am actually in mid stream of a move and have eyeballed the manuals a few times and still think about buying. I rather buy them then print them myself. Funny thing is, I would still probably only use the pdf's since 1- I like the find feature better than my own ability. 2- I don't have the deskspace at the moment :)They would look nice on my shelf though :(I just noticed the manuals on their site. 170 bucks for the complete md11 set.... yikes!!!I once printed out all the FSX manuals and it was 1/5th the quality and in soft back and cost $120.00.It's expensive to have it done, even at places like staples, and kinkos. That's actually not a bad price. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
January 19, 201016 yr I would definitley buy the printed manuals for the 737 NGX :) (also for the upcomming 777) best regards, Alexander Barger
January 19, 201016 yr Commercial Member Jeff-We are currently working with Boeing on this topic...It is highly likely that we will have the 737NG manuals alongisde the MD-11 manuals. We are looking for ways to reduce the component costs, however- in order to keep the total cost down. These things do not come cheaply... Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
January 19, 201016 yr Hello,If someone asked about this before - sorry, but will 737NGX be also compatibile with FS2004, like MD11 ?Regards, Chris
January 19, 201016 yr Chris, try looking at the pinned threads in the general forum...There you will find the current state of affairs...Andrew Andrew Entwistle

January 19, 201016 yr I'm sorry, but for a 737 and 777 I have to have a printed manual. There are some things I dont buy in FS but seriously for a PMDG 73 and 777 I make huge exceptions.
January 19, 201016 yr Alright!! Awesome! Any PMDG aircraft that has printed manuals made for them, I will buy! I mostly fly PMDG planes so the manuals would get lots of use out of them! Thanks,Jeff Smith
January 20, 201016 yr I'd just recommend getting something from here: http://www.stopoverstore.com/product/index.cfm/nid/519Bill Bulfer has 737NG material. I'm still waiting for him to include the HGS stuff before I buy though. Mike Ray's 737 classic manual is great as well, and most of the information can be carried over the the NG. The only manual I'm looking forward to PMDG producing is the QRH. I do have the SWA QRH, but it is in a low quality PDF. Would love to see a nicely bound edition! Joe Sherrill
