Desktop Background Image

I have a shot of a B-52 being refueled by a Tanker, as taken from the tankers position, but would like to get rid of it.When I right mouse and bring down my "properties" window under the sub tab of "Desktop", the only thing I can change is the color. The background listing sliderand contents selection cannot be actiaviated. All other tabs works fine.I cannot recall if this was downloaded as a "image" or "jpeg"Tried to do a search, but came up empty.Any help would be appreciated.Cheers,irish3Pic of my Properties box.

No idea what could be the issue, but I have a question for you, how do you like that "speedupmypc" program?

I was/am not totally impressed. I would imagine it's up to each user and what they want out of it.Just my 2 cents worth.. :( irish3

This is an just the Window's DESKTOP image. You RIGHT click on desktop (anywhere), then click 'Properties' and the window as seen on the attached pic will open. Click the 'Desktop' tab (up top) then scroll all the way to top, where you should see 'None' (red circle with slash thru it). Click on that and then click 'Ok' and you should no longer have a DESKTOP IMAGE. You MIGHT find that after that the image should not be in list of available desktop images. If you want to re-do it you can browse to where your images are saved and pick one.Chuck BNapamule

Try switching it to another image, and then selecting none.

I do what I believe is right, not what is popular.

One other thing you might try: Select a image that you wish to use as your desktop image and right click on, in the drop down menu you should see "Set as Desktop Background" select that - left mouse - and that should apply your new image to the desktop. If that does not work, then as has already been stated above, it is probably a case of malware, virus or the unwanted side effect of something installed.Hope this helped, regards,Mel

Not quite sure how this has appeared in a Flight Simulator 2004 forum, it is a Windows XP issue. It seems you need to log in as Administrator to change that.John
This won't change anything in the user's profile...You log in as Administrator, and any changes to the desktop background will change the Admin's profile only...Just try selecting "none" as background image... then select a new one after you have done that...Andrew
