Where is the wing

Featured Replies

Hi, team.I've just downloaded and installed the748i and as it was expected: what a great job! Congratulations.I noticed when both pilot and first officer look through the window both wings are not there. We can see nav and strobe lights but not the most extreme part of the wings were those lights were supposed to be.Anybody else with this same problem?Best regards.Schmid.

Yes, I can confirm it. The wing itself is not visible, only the lights (picture shows -8F).Otherwise it is a great addon. Thank you PMDG!!!Rainer OberstEDDL

Same here, not a big deal to me. Would make for a great view, but you really have to move the viewpoint around to get it anyway... Maybe the group will look into adding it for those who are interested, ya' never know what this bunch is up to!

The VC is a separate model from the exterior, seeing the wings would require an updated VC like the J41.

Sam is right. The wings are not visible in the base product. As I recall when the FSX version came out, you can't see the wings in the real thing either but that doesn't explain the lights. Go figure.

It's smart thinking if you ask me.If the wings were modeled in the 747-400 VC, then when we looked out our windows we would see the wrong type of wings anyway. :( Mark
