I looked for it to add to Twin Oaks, but could never find it. If you have coords, I'd be happy to try again.
Hi Bill,Here's the site for the 727 home. It's a few years old but has lots of pics. We can fly over it and shoot some fresh shots if you want, it is much more overgrown now and more difficult to see from the air. http://www.airplanehome.com/Coordinates for Google Earth - 45

Hello All!Just cruising around this FANTASTIC and sim-altering scenery, I started keeping a list of some of the more interesting (at least, to me!) airstrips. Why don't we start a thread where we can share some of the great airstrips that we visit? I'll get the ball rolling with some off of my list:North Plains, 1OR4-- seems to be hang glider central! Vernonia, O5S-- nice, challenging approach to rwy 27Sky Harbor, S86-- situated in a beautiful valleyMajerle Strip, WA17--nice approach over a riverSkydive Oregon, OL05-- short hop north over to...Portland-Mulino, 4S9Iron Crown, 22OR-- uphill steep slope runway!!Let's keep adding to the list!!!Cheers,Paul

Does anyone have suggestions for flights? I am not a GA guy and this isn't my neck of the woods but I really want to explore the scenery. Maybe something from KPDX, KSEA or CYVR to a smaller airport appropriate for short cargo hops in a C208, Kodiak or DH6.

I'd suggest pulling up Google earth-look for points of interest-then plug in the lat/long in the map page of fsx and go flying. There are many, many interesting sites to look at...All the famous volcanos of the Cascade chain are worth a look..e.g. Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, Mt. Jefferson etc.Takeoff from Snohemish and head east-very spectacular. Takeoff from Concrete and enjoy the view.

The FTX Forums have a specific section for tours and flight plans around PNW - well worth checking out.

Then there are all the little gems like the Tillamook air museum (in an old hangar) or the Concorde/B52 at Boeing field along with a whole lot of other enhancements. So much to discover and so little time...
