Hello all, I am suddenly having a strange problem where if I click on a switch in the cockpit (the alternator switch, for instance), it will not move to the opposing position. I can see it "want" to move (in other words, it starts to move, then clicks back into the same position). I thought maybe it was my Saitek Switch Panel creating a conflict, but I unplugged it today and it still happens. I just bought the Airfoil Labs C172 and it looks INCREDIBLE, but I can't start the engine! This is happening to ALL aircraft. Help!! Thanks!! Paul

Hi guys, I just updated my P3d to v3.3 and I run a triple monitor setup, but I can't for the life of me figure out where to access the changes to the muti-monitor support? I checked the settings screens within P3D and it all looks the same to me. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks! Paul

Hi guys, I am currently running 3.1 and want to update the client only to 3.3. Here comes the dumb question part...does the 3.3 update include the 3.2 update (in other words, can I go to 3.3 right from 3.1). Thanks, Paul

Hi Bob, I just deleted the P3D files in documents, but can you tell me where I can find Program Data? I have my User Account set to the lowest security setting, so it never bothers me when I install programs, and I almost never have to run programs as an administrator, although I did try that with P3D and I still get the same error message. I am downloading the brand new update released today so I will delete everything and start from scratch again. thanks! Paul

Oh man, I think I messed something up big time. I had FSX boxed installed, along with P3d v2 and v3. I had P3d v3 working great, so I decided to "strip" FSX by uninstalling most of my scenery (LOT'S of Orbx and others), aircraft, etc., just to free up some badly needed disk space. Now, P3d won't start at all. I get the splash screen and then the window that says "Prepar3d exe has stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." So, I uninstalled P3d v3 and did a reinstall, but I still get the same error message and fail to run. Any ideas? Thanks! I am running Windows 10, by the way. Paul

Hello, Sorry for the dumb question...if I have purchased A2A aircraft (Commanche, Cherokee, Cub, and both Cessnas) only for FSX is there a way to get them to install in to P3D v3, or do I need to purchase them all again for P3D? thanks! Paul

I've always wondered what exactly FSX is loading at 6%? That "spot" is by far the longest pause in the loading sequence for me. Paul

Hello All, A while ago I tried a bit of the Blue Sky photo real scenery for an area just south of KSFO, but I installed the excellent ORBX Northern California scenery package, and I am still seeing the Blue Sky scenery. I tried deactivating the Blue Sky scenery in the scenery library from within FSX, and even deleted it completely from the scenery library, but strangely it persists. What am I doing wrong here? Hello All! I remember seeing an FSX front end somewhere (a program that allows you to select aircraft, location, time and date, etc., outside of FSX and then start a flight with your chosen parameters), but I can't locate it now. Does anybody know what I am talking about? Thanks, Paul

Hello All! Just installed Prepar3d v2 last week, and I have to say that I am VERY impressed so far. I was trying to figure out what gives me that different "feel" or look from FSX, and for me, it's the way the autogen gets rendered further out to the horizon, with no sudden "pop-ups" just in the vicinity of the aircraft. For me, that really makes a world of difference. Excellent! Now, for my actual question! Every time I go to one of the menus to select a new aircraft, airport, season, time, etc., my aircraft controls are "out of whack" when I get put back in the sim. For example, upon flying again from a menu selection, my rudder will be deflected, throttles will be decreased (or maybe the mixture and prop controls will be changed, too), or even the yoke may be deflected. I can fix all of this by simply moving the controls (pushing one of the rudder pedals or moving the throttle levers), but it's getting quite tiresome to have to do this every time. Is anyone else experiencing this, and if so, is there anything I can do to fix it? I am using the CH Yoke and CH Throttle Quadrant with the Saitek rudder pedals. Thanks!! Paul

GSX or AES? I used to use AES quite a lot, but the idea of spending money one time for unlimited use of GSX is appealing, too (as opposed to having to buy credits every time you want to add a new airport). Thoughts? Paul

Hi Chaps, I just purchased a second 27" monitor that is paired up with my old 27" (both running at 1920x1080 res). I am trying to get the VC to span across both screens. I have tried everything...both monitors are recognized in the FSX display setting screen, and I have them set up in Win 7 to "extend these displays." I go in to FSX, load up a plane, switch to windowed mode, drag the VC across both screens to fit, and I get the dreaded black screen on the right side monitor. It's a problem of resolution...I can't figure out how to get my computer to see both screens as one large 3840x1080 screen. From what I've read on various forums, it seems that I need to use nVidia surround for this, but it seems that my video card requires that I have 2 cards in SLI configuration? Am thinking correctly? Is there something else I need to do that I haven't yet? Thanks! Paul

Hi guys, Sorry to ask such a dumb question, but I am considering doing the 3 monitor setup, and I know that my wife will not want to use all 3 monitors when in desktop mode (checking email, working in MS Word, checking Pinterest, internet, etc.). So my question is, how easy is it to switch between the massive screen back to using only the normal resolution on the center screen? Will I have to set everything up each time I want to fly, and then undo it all after each flight, or is there a more simple way to do it? Thanks! Paul
