Hi All,If there's still time left in the competition, I would like to present to you my updated submission of my Lufthansa 40th Anniversary livery, version 2.0 which replaces v1.0.Why?Well, one thing I didn't mentioned, was that over past 3 days I have been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how I could possibly get the underside of the 747-400F to look like chrome since the original 747-130 for Lufthansa had this chrome/bare metal finish!I researched the web in many places and looked at other repaints and finally after much perserverance (and several beers!), I found someway to do this in Photo X2.I had never tried this before and I thought the competition presented a good opportunity for me to go one step further than my other repaints before. The specular textures proved quite difficult as you need to work with grey-scale and the level of reflectivity varies tremendously - in many cases it looked too shiny! So after many attempts and tone-downs this is the end result.So, let me know what you think? It appears chrome is quite difficult to master and some people either love it or hate it. If you don't like it then let me know? It's simple for you to step back by just deleting the two fuselage "_spec.dds" files in the texture folder. If you do this, the aircraft will revert to the grey color underside as per version 1.0.The version 2.0 repaint can be found in Avsim by searching for ID#272805.It should be there in the next few hours.Here's the updated screenshots although you really have to download the aircraft to see the chrome effect up close.All the best,Mark Aldridge

Damn, saw this thread too late, so no chance to upload on AVSIM anymore.Anyway, I'd like to share my first complete repaint, referring to the original G-MAJM special livery. The aircraft is operated by Eastern Airways, pictures of the realone can be found at airliners.net and other spotting sites. I tried to get close to the original, and I guess it's not too bad for the beginning ;)(click on the pics to get full size)Regards, and good luck to the competitors, those repaints look great! :(

Hi Guys, sorry for the late reply. I went to Vermont for what was suppose to be a overnight side job and turned into a nightmare. I have a couple hours to sort some things out for the contest and then will await reply from the judges. I need the .psd files from Taylor and Mark. You can email them to me at [email protected] I get all the files and can just verify them I will make another post for public voting as well as contact the judges involved.
