April 19, 201016 yr Great news indeed! Moreover, even taking into account that CS never promised VC for BUFF, there will be one! Regards,Stan
April 19, 201016 yr More half-baked garbage from Captain Sim.Here's an idea....why don't you wait to pass judgment on products that are actually released?Give it a shot! Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
April 19, 201016 yr Here's an idea....why don't you wait to pass judgment on products that are actually released?Give it a shot! How about I take into account Captain Sim's horrific track record and save money, time, and frustration? Now that's a good idea.

Now that's a good idea.Or you could even refrain from posting about CS at all since it is apparent you have no interest in their products and will not purchase anything from them anyways. April 19, 201016 yr More half-baked garbage from Captain Sim.So Alex how many CS aircraft do you own? I would think you must have a least (1) to base your moronic statement on.Craig
April 19, 201016 yr So Alex how many CS aircraft do you own? I would think you must have a least (1) to base your moronic statement on.CraigI don't know about him, but I own two, and they both sucked. Furthermore, CS double charged me for them, didn't send me the download links, and made it a ridiculous headache trying to get access to the "support" forum. It took 2 weeks to finally download the software because they were on "vacation" and couldn't support their software. They didn't stop selling it, mind you (see the VRS thread for comparison). When I got tired of the run around and posted publically on their forum, they deleted my polite requests for a refund on the double charge. When I complained that they deleted my posts, they deleted my forum account. When I filed a fraudulant charge claim with my financial institution, they banned my IP from even accessing their website, preventing me from accessing the activation server and from receiving any form of support. In the end I got my money back from my bank (no thanks to Captain Sim or their payment service), and I now have two useless installers that I'm unable to activate. So lets not pretend that CS doesn't have some serious issues with regard to quality, customer service, commitment, and integrity. I'm not the only one who got the shaft, and your insistance that there'e no validity to the general sentiment that one should be careful when dealing with CS is in error. And to validate the original comment, the 757 had numerous errors with fuel and bleed air systems, engine starting, FMS, VNAV, and autothrottles. The C-130 had bleed air and electrical issues, and didn't fly anything like a C-130.

As far as systems I've not flown either a 757 or a C-130 as you apparently have so I'm not is a position to comment on the systems.I do know however that they are neither the first nor the last to have sold an aircraft that may have had somesystem problems. At least you have have a valid argument as opposed to the other poster.Craig

I haven't.What I meant was, the 757 didn't behave the way the manuals say it should. Same for the C-130 with the added data point that my brother DOES fly the C-130, and neither he nor I were able to realistically perform things like abeam approaches because roll rates and turn radii were grossly undermodeled.I agree that most developers require an SP1 or SP2 for their products. But CS seems to consistently release products that are far less refined and require 4 or 5 SP's to bring them up to the release standards of other companies. I think thats a fair assessment based on consumer feedback, the version numbering, and my personal experience.Perhaps they're getting better with their more recent releases. I don't know because I won't buy anything from them anymore. I came very close to wanting to the buy the B-52 based on the fact that MilViz was going to do a VC for it. But now that CS decided to take over the project, it's a nonstarter for me (even if I had managed to figure out a way to access their website).
