April 19, 201016 yr Moderator Ahhhh, the good old days!Brings back memories of US Navy Fighters, with the 'old style' graphics...LOL I remember when X-Wing came out in '93 and we would spend hours and hours playing that on a 12" Toshiba laptop with a 386 CPU.I thought to myself, "Man, it can't get any better than this!"That is, until FS 2000 came out!Alan :(
April 19, 201016 yr A couple weeks ago while doing some spring cleaning we found an old laptop. On a whim I booted it up to be greeted by Win98.Just for kicks I dug out my old FS5 and loaded it up.My how times have changed. I can remember being blown away by FS5, comparing it to my first version which was FS3 I think. The first version Microsoft put out after buying out Bruce Artwick.I have vague memories of meeting some guy in a bar in Urbana who was working on a flight sim for computers circa '78 or'79.To this day I wonder if it was Bruce.Guess I'll never know. Wish I knew then what I know now.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
