April 29, 201016 yr Hey all, I am new to the realityxp products, so new that I have not purchased any yet! when I buy them, do they come with detailed instructions on how to install them? if not, is there a link to a tutorial of sorts to help guide me along? I have never modded a panel before and I have done very little aircraft cfg tweaking. I am looking to add the rxp 430 to the bonanza and maybe update the nav/com stack. any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance. April 29, 201016 yr If you just want the GNS430 in there I can give you the cfg for it.I use FS Panel Studio by Flight1 to install my RXP stuff in Carenado Aircraft. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!

April 30, 201016 yr Thats fantastic!!!! now I am new to this modding stuff, is it fairly straight forward? Thanks alot!!!!The short answer is.. not exactly..If you are replacing one gauge by another that is the same size/shape, it is usually straightforward, although the night lighting may not line up.If the model has fixed 3d knobs... you may have them appear in the middle of your new gauge, not pretty. And, as with the Bonanza, if the radio gauges are not neatly defined in the same sequence as theyare arranged in the model, you may not be able to find the space to position your desired radios..so, "it depends".. Carenado has included a model without 3D knobs so should make it easier! April 30, 201016 yr I worked out lots of retrofits, but for FS9. If the installation went right with the wrapper you should be able to get it in easy via FS Panel Studio. It becomes tricky at the nightmasks, you will need some paint-skills for it, but it isn't that difficult as it seems to be on the first view if you know how it works.I can say only learning by doing and if you need help, here are lots of people who will help.Have fun and don't give up, keep it going step by step.C182 RGII: FLN, FLT, Apollo, GNS 530 WAAS, Carenado C206 ADF, own Turbo-modPhil
April 30, 201016 yr Author Thanks Phil!! I'm sure there will be a few colorful words flying around the house, but I am a quick learner. I will post results as I go! April 30, 201016 yr FS Panel studio is a must, the coolest part is that you can steal guages out of other aircraft. Want a Apollo com2 radio, no problem, want a fuel flow meter, no problem. Dont like the Bendix radio stack, put in a blank panel. :(

May 1, 201016 yr So I can hijack the Garmin radios from the lotus sim L39 and put them in the bonanza, mooney and seneca?Maybe... some vendors lock their gauges so that they will not work when moved to another aircraft, but you can try!The best Garmins can be found at www.reality-xp.com Bert
May 1, 201016 yr Author Hi Bert, I have been checking out the reality xp toys for a while. I have now got fs panel studio and playing around with it to get the hang of it. Seems pretty straight forward. Have my eye on the 430 package and the flight line N pack for the HSI, RMI ect. They sure look nice! They have nice smooth movement too! Hopefully by Sunday, I will have a great looking panel to show off.
