OK, this sounds like an installation issue.. 1. Does the Garmin trainer run properly, all by itself? 2. Try to re-download the 430W from RealityXP and install with all anti-virus disabled 3. Post a screenshot or describe in more detail if still problemsalong with OS, GNS version etc

For those who wish to perform this modification in future (I know this is a bit of a thread revival btw, but just thought some folks may find it handy), I fitted most of Reality XP's stuff in the F33A panel.cfg; Flightline N (including the all STEC autopilot items), Flightline T and GNS 430W, you can just chop out what you don't want or have.

 

You will get some issues with night lighting unfortunately owing to the texture maps for the virtual cockpit, and I haven't fitted the dimmer switches. I recommend using the FOR CUSTOMIZATION models which remove the 3D HSI and GNS knobs.

Always nice to get some good feedback. Since posting, I've managed to resolve the nightlighting issue somewhat (please note, you perform this modification at your own risk!):

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado BONANZA F33A\texture.COMMON and remove the following files:
    1_night.bmp, 2_night.bmp, 3_night.bmp, 4_night.bmp, 5_night.bmp, CARinterior_G_night.bmp, CARinterior_H_night.bmp, Lights_night.bmp and textpanel_night.bmp
     
  2. Open the Aircraft.cfg file and find the [lights] section. Remove the line which begins "light.6" and then paste the following in its place:
    light.6 = 10, -2.0, 0.0, 1.3, HS748_Vclightred.fx
light.7 = 10, -2.0, 0.0, 0.8, HS748_Vclightwhi.fx


    NB: for this modification to work you'll need Rick Piper's freeware HS.748, as I've used his effect files, but you can substitute any suitable light effects from the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects folder.

Also since posting, I've reconfigured the instrument layout, if this is of interest to you I am happy to post up the panel.cfg code (since this screenshot I've reverted back to the Bendix King ADI):

Thanks for the lighting edits. Will give it a try shortly.

 

I noticed you added the gma340 comm. I wondered silently how come you didn't put it in the first time. But that was an easy entry when I was entering your other RXP edits.

 

Today was the first time using the STEC. Took a bit to get the hang of it but now I'm in love hahaha... The F33 is now my favorite single engine; thanks to your efforts.

That's attributable to my laziness ^_^ Also, I did consider if the Carenado supplied unit looked a little better in the cockpit, but ultimately decided it didn't. The fuel pressure gauge is stolen from the Mooney Bravo, you might need to place Mooney_Bravo.dll in the main FSX gauges folder.. to be honest it's a bit of a bodge and it looks messy but I couldn't find a circular fuel pressure gauge that read up to 50 psi.
