May 11, 201016 yr How do I edit the RMI.xml gauge and get it back into the F33 folder?1. Create a subfolder to your FSX Gauges folder and call it BonF332. Unzip the BonF33.cab file into this folder3. Make the edits to the gauges in this new folder4. Go fly :( No need to put things back into the cab file, although you can, using the Cabdir.exe programthat comes with the FSX SDKIf you want to revert to the original guages, just rename or delete the BonF33 folder. May 12, 201016 yr Here is my list so far (all GNS related).1. I still can't use the VC GNS to switch from NAV to COM. :( (BTW I can't see ANY changes when it comes to the VC GNS but that might be due to the fact that I installed the previous version of SP2 (which was taken offline later).)BTW Does anyone know how to enable the cursor in this GNS...? Still haven't figured that out. I suppose it's another clickspot that's missing.EDIT:On a positive sidenote :( : performance/handling is indeed a lot better! :(Maybe someone can make a graphic that clearly shows the click spots on the Carendado 430 and what they do. I am still looking for the cursor select click for the right side like when you select NRST, how do get inside the list to go to the 3rd or 4th listing. This is usually a center push or press of the Right inner selector knob.RayM When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
May 12, 201016 yr Hello Bert,You have find and correct a bug on the tooltip of the ADF2. When the mouse pointer is over the ADF2 receiver, the tooltip display is ADF1 frequency.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=284511But this little bug was not yet fixed in the SP2. You have suggested to change the line<Tooltip ID="TOOLTIPTEXT_ADF1_FREQ"/>for<Tooltip ID="TOOLTIPTEXT_ADF2_FREQ"/>So I have also edit adf2.xml as you have suggested. It work fine. Thank you. Have a good dayBenoit
May 12, 201016 yr Here are two clickspots which were hard to find: The Cursor clickspot is completely missing from the VC GNS, so you can only use the cursor on the popup window (and even there it is misplaced: the minus-clickspot to the left of this clickspot is HUGE btw!). You cannot enable the cursor on the popup GNS and then move it on the VC GNS because both GNS's aren't linked when it comes to that (only the radio's are linked, which is quite odd btw). The clickspot to switch between NAV and COM in the VC is above the knob. Don't ask me why.Almost all cursor positions are misplaced and some are HUGE while others are tiny: I'm looking forward to SP3! :(

I will just continure to use my 530 popup, I already know where are the click spots are.RayMBTW, Are we making any progress on a comprehensive punch list for SP3? When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
May 20, 201016 yr Pleae Ignore:I tried Beonits' advice for the RMI fix and it did not work the first time. I started over and tried again, and it works fine now. I have no idea what my mistake was the first time. Thanks loads Benoit for the fix.RTH
May 21, 201016 yr Hi Beniot,Thanks for the fix for the VOR needles on the RMI - I did what you said and it works, although I had no idea what the code means! Just one thing (and I may be wrong here, so anyone feel free to jump in and correct me), but I believe the HDG flag on the RMI should only appear if the directional gyro fails and the heading displayed is no longer accurate, it serves as a warning the information displayed is inaccurate. As far as I know it should have no link to whether VOR is selected on the selector buttons.Anyone?Gary
May 22, 201016 yr Hello,Thank rossdh and Gary for your reply. The evaluation of equations in a xml code, use reverse polish notation RPN. I am a long time user of RPN calculator so I was able to modify these equations by looking at the C208 RMI xml gauge. I have not modify the logic of show/hide HDG flag, since I have no idea of what is the case in the real instrument. The C208 RMI does not have a flag. So my preference would be for a no flag. Morever we have the possibilty of two NAV frequencies, and only one flag is not permitting us to know wich one we have.Do we have information about the real instrument?Have a good dayBenoit

May 23, 201016 yr Bert and Beniot,Thanks for information guys - basically the red HDG warning card should not show in the RMI display if everything is working correctly. Beniot - when you see how much code is involved in making one instrument, my complete respect to anyone who can build and draw an entire panel. Can Carenado pick this up please for SP3 please?ThanksGary
May 24, 201016 yr Hello Bert,Thank you for the information about the KNI 582 RMI.As it is said in the pilot's guide the flag appear when there is a problem or when the indicated heading has an error of 5
May 25, 201016 yr <XML edits>Thanks for all the xml edits, Benoit! Anyway you can fix the not-working cursor on the VC GNS? ;)Hopefully Carenado is working hard right now on the next patch (in which all of this will be implemented). Apart from various problems I have to say I really love the Bonanze: it's got enough gauges and knobs and what not to keep you entertained during the flight. Great plane. Apart from the various bugs, obviously. :(
