May 24, 201016 yr Hi all, I like flying regional jest right now, so I picked default Lear45 with some modifications. This plane is not perfect though.I would like to put similar aircraft to my hangar. I am looking at realism at most, then VC model and avionics. Last but not least is the frames eaten by the bird. I am considering Flight1 Cessna Mustang, but it is so heavy on frames that I cannot sacrifice so much.Do You have any suggestions?PC specs: QX9770, 4GB 1333MHz, GTX280, 5040x1050 Bartłomiej Ender
May 24, 201016 yr I run the Mustang on lesser specs than that. (Except more ram.)And what do you mean by "regional jets"? There is a CRJ due in the summer and a couple of Dash8's in progress. I suppose the 737 could be considered regional, but the good one is still in progress.I haven't bothered with the J41 or ATR because they aren't in use in NA nearly as much as Bombardier. (And they aren't as pretty.)
May 24, 201016 yr Author I meant 10-30 pax on board, 1000-1800nm of range, jet, not turbo prop (I use J41 as propeller driven A/C- there is no need to replace that) Bartłomiej Ender

May 28, 201016 yr The FeelThere ERJ v2 is excellent, there are a good number of posts here about it and google will reveal a few reviews. Paul Skol
May 28, 201016 yr You could try the Xtreme Prototypes payware LearJet 20 Series: http://20series.xtremeprototypes.com/en/That is a pretty good add-on; in a manner similar to the real thing, it captures the feeling that the original LearJets were basically a six-seater jet fighter with leather upholstery and a drinks cabinet LOL, and as a result of that, it is just as much fun as a real one.Systems-wise it is pretty accurate, with a nice VC, which, although not the absolute best one ever seen, is still very good (a bit on the 'clinically clean' side for my tastes, but that is a personal viewpoint). Perhaps more importantly, all the switches do what they are supposed to and in that sense it is a very accurate sim of the aircraft it portrays. The flight model is pretty good too, and although it is not as demanding up near coffin corner as the real LearJet can be, generally speaking it's a good emulation of the slightly insane performance that the older series LearJets enjoy, including the high approach speeds. One weak point is the audio - the engine sounds are not the best , and I'm still on the lookout for some decent replacement sounds for mine, since you can tell a real 20 Series LearJet is coming from miles away, and I would like it if my simulated one reproduced that. But apart from that, if you like the LearJets and want a good quality sim of them, the Xtreme Prototypes add-on is certainly your best bet. The only down side to choosing this, as opposed to a Citation or some such, is that like the real LearJet 20s, it has a fairly limited range.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 29, 201016 yr Hi all, I like flying regional jest right now, so I picked default Lear45 with some modifications. What exactly are you looking for, it's not clear from your question. The Lear 45 is a Corporate jet, not a 'regional'. Regional jets used to be called 'communters' and are commercial passenger carrying planes like the CRJ and ERJ.If you want a great corporate jet, the ES Citation X is the best around. If it's a 'commuter' you want, there are various CRJ's/ERJ's available. Jay
May 29, 201016 yr I have had the Eaglesoft Citation X v2 for quite a while and it is a great, if you want to go far (well up to 3000NM anyway) and fast then it is the best there is. Looks good, flies well and has all the systems that you are going to need. Since I have updated my rig I treated myself to the Mustang - fantastic aircraft right at the other end of the spectrum for corporate jets - feels just like what it is in real life, the next step up for someone transferring from props .. .. .. The G1000 in it is fantastic .. ... .. the downside is that it is hard on the frames..I also have the earlier Eaglesoft CJ1 - although it is quite dated relying on a seperate pop-up GPS panel for navigation, which is a killer for me. Best to wait and wait for their "Extreme" versions.G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
May 31, 201016 yr Author I have chosen Flight1 Cessna Citation X. This is not so heavy on frames as I was told to. It flies well, very easy to master, acceptable VC.Many thanks for the help. Keep the blue side up! Bartłomiej Ender
