I'm really confused about this... some people say NHancer is no longer needed, CP does all that.. some say it doesn't and it's still the best to use NHancer.. so.. is there really any difference at all if some see same results with or without NHancer? And again, any GTX285 users tried this driver? Any increase in performance in FSX like 400 series users see? I'm really torn apart about this one... I'm still using 182.50 drivers (believe it or not) with NHancer and i'm getting smooth performance with good FPS (most of the time 30@30) - I use most of bojote's tweaks)... ok, with PMDG 747 on EGLL with UT2 traffic at 100%, UTX Eu, GEX, ASE, REX, bad weather, peak hours, ... and all that.. I get 16-26 (mostly the result of UT2@100%.. since if I turn away from the main terminal building I'm on 28-30 again). So, people are raving about this driver so it's tempting to try it - but I have to abandon NHancer & all that jazz and throw hours and hours out of the window with tweaking and testing.. instead of flying!

Hi Luc,The answer is no!This new driver gives very good results but for a "true" AA, you'll really need a new nHancer version.

Ian,I have a "normal" 480 and also had some lockups and crashes before this driver.This one seems to be ok.Touch wood!

FYI - detailed instructions on how to set up 257.15 so that it carries advanced NHancer settings without NHancer running.Haven't tried this year but will shortly - and of course I trust the source.... Hope this helps.Alan

Glad Nick's instructions worked for you guys. I'm partway there, but am having a problem where whenever I produce a control input (tap the brakes or move the joystick), the screen blacks out for a second or two, then reloads textures and resumes. I'm not sure but I think it might be related to my TripleHead2Go setup, which involves forcing a custom resolution into the driver. But I could be wrong about that. I've posted to Nick in the Simforums thread and I'll see what they come back with. The new driver is really good, so I'd hate to have to revert. But if there's no choice, there's no choice...Best,Alan

Wow!This is great. I thought it would take much longer. Nvidia is really listening.Even though there's a temporary fix for 8xs, I still want my Nhancer and 8sQ. From what I've read, an update will be available in the near future.Thanks everyone!!!!By the way, as has been confirmed, without Nhancer, you would not be able to enhance FSX with AA 8xs etc. I have not been able to get Nvidia control panel to work with FSX. That's since I upgraded to a gtx285 and FSX.

The latest beta driver did not raise fps in NYC, but I did see a slight improvement in YBBN.The image quality was not as good as my 8sQ so I decided to revert back. I will wait until Nhancer works with the latest drivers.

The link in post # 19 will give you 8sQ without nhancer, and you will be able to use the latest driver.

Meh, 8xS combined is plenty good enough for me, and I will take the performance increase that the 257.15 driver provided. I am getting the smoothest performance yet with very high image quality.

For those asking about running this driver with a GTX285....I just downloaded it, also did both steps of Nick's suggestions.To those that said this was a steroid shot for animation advance and smoothness: They were not kidding!After doing what Nick suggested, I have the same exact quality of scenery as when I had used nHancer 2.5.9 with the 197.45's.I highly recommend going from whatever you are presently running to the 257.15's. I have not had any issues, but only beautiful rendering, and again, very smooth animation and about the same or slightly better FPS.

I have been flying with this driver for most of the day, and think it gives the best depiction of any ocean to date. In combination with the ENBSeries tweak, the Atlantic around the Caribbean is totally life-like in wave action, and color, whether in shallow/reef or deep water.All other types of land-form is 10 out of 10 as well.This driver is fabulous! Good work, nVidia!Actual nVidia branded GTX285 vid card.
