Flying 737NG simulator

I will try and find the link for a company in Holland that sell fixed base simulators, a lot cheaper the a half a million! I think between £7000/14000 not including screens and depending on what options you want (duel setup etc) I contacted them to purchase one as my justification was I wouldn't hesitate in spending that much on a car, however I realized it's bit silly when I could use that money for real flying. So unless you have loads of cash to burn, spend it on a full PPL you will still have cash left over to hire a aircraft and fly your girlfriend to Paris or your mates to Prague for a stag weekend! :Big Grin:Buying a few of those to rent out as a commercial business is another story, with the right marketing I think you could make a fair bit

I moonlighted in the Wellington, New Zealand branch of Flight Experience as an instructor for much of 2006 and 2007 before my 'day job' priorities took over. It was great fun and it is a very convincing replica of the real deal. We followed SOPs fairly closely for all the flights, and a 737 F/O I know took a ride with me and was quite satisfied that you could use it as a procedural trainer. Many of the flights were short duration, circuit work, all handflown, so we got plenty of exposure to the manual flight characteristics of the aircraft too.Plus, perks of the job: we were able to book in time after hours for our own entertainment, at will. It was basically like having the keys to your own full replica 737 flight deck! Bliss.
Definitely sounds like a dream job :-)Dmitriy.

The full-motion sims are flight sim heaven. A week ago I flew Alaska Airlines 737-700 sim, and the feeling was incredible. Definitely one of the best moments in my fs life.

I've found something similar to Flight Experience called FLIGHTADVENTURES. http://www.flightadventures.ca/They seem to be located in Vancouver-Canada, and London (?)-UK.Anyone has more information about them, do they really have a shop in London?13 Radnor WalkLondon, SW3 4BPEngland.

Does anyone here live in the Dallas/Fort-Worth, TX USA area? If so, PM me if you like B-737NGs' - I'll see if I can't add a little excitement to you one of your days...

I did a flight with Flight Experience in Christchurch, NZ. It was running on FS9! Although still great to be flying with the full 737ng cockpit!... heres a pic of me @ the controls..alinsimlg.jpg

Actually, last I priced out a Full 747-400 pit (Full) it was just over $11,000.00. But that is with the best panels, knobs, pots, boards guages, software etc, etc...The prices like anything will vary but the biggest price difference is in the screens. The 11k does not include the price of #3 awesome projectors which is what I would want :)The real simulator prices are insane but boy oh boy would I love to do it! :( *Prices also don't include hydraulics but that is still very possible in a home pit for low $$$.(Main problem is having the space, hehe).
Take a look at the three Projector setup Nat is running at flight deck solutions http://www.flightdec...er=asc&start=30. I think his latest setup was 200 degrees.I have three Optoma GT720 short throws here, waiting for the rest of my parts for my build (have the TQ, MCP, EFIS and transponder now, MIP on order). Need to play with nthusim to align the PJ's seemlessly, but I can't wait to have it all running. Very expensive hobby and its keeping UPS in business since most of the hardware seems to be from Europe and Canada....

Wow! Thats awesome! I wonder what kind of projectors they are and the res. The main reason I stopped actually was because the projectors just weren't at where I needed them to be. Even now I'm not to fond of the limited res but his setup looks sweeet!Sounds like a great thing you got going on their. Yeah, they sure will break the bank but once you finish it, you'll reap the rewards and be truely stylin!Um,,, cough cough... Are you in need of a roommate by any chance? :(
