August 17, 201015 yr Hi,any of you know what's wrong with the new ejets vc ? A guy who bought them planes uploaded pict on the feeltheirs forum but support is apparently ignoring his question. Here's the link.http://forum.iemit.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=4814Vic
August 17, 201015 yr vic:there is nothing 'wrong'. there is no 'ill intent'. i missed the post (ok i'm a bad person and should be taken to the wall and shot!).at some angles FS decides to create a reflection off the sub-panel based on the VC eyepoint angle and sun angle. this issue is even shown on one of the sales page pictures.-- D. August 17, 201015 yr I see the very same "reflection" in my busses v2 vc.From all angles tho.it doesn't always happen but when it does that reflection is there to stay..till you close the sim.the airbus panel is not related to the e-jet panel. the airbus panel was created by a different panel code design team. August 18, 201015 yr at some angles FS decides to create a reflection off the sub-panel based on the VC eyepoint angle and sun angle. this issue is even shown on one of the sales page pictures.FS doesn't decide. The developer decides when they apply the material properties to the part and how it will respond to specular reflections.
August 18, 201015 yr Author FS doesn't decide. The developer decides when they apply the material properties to the part and how it will respond to specular reflections.I wonder if any other e-jets owner has this problem ?It could be that ft is wrong when they claim "fs decides". E-jets are not the only ft planes with this problem.Airbus v2 have it too.
August 18, 201015 yr Moderator Actually, that possibly may be "specular highlighting" that remains "uncontrolled."There is a setting in the FSX Material's Advanced Parameters that includes an option: "use no base specular," which should be enabled if there is no specific specular bitmap provided to modulate the diffuse color bitmap. If there is a specular bitmap used, then the Alpha channel may be tuned to reduce the specular color and diffusion. August 18, 201015 yr The same thing happens to me, to be honest i didnt even notice until it was mentioned, i assumed it was just the design of the panel.I wouldnt call it a problem, though, it doesnt really stop the thing flying.Great addon!!!! ive been addicted to it since i got it.Tom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722
August 22, 201015 yr Hey Avsim, it's the guy from the FeelThere post. Evidently I'm being ignored, they think fobbing me off with a silly answer about it being "normal" will satiate me, even though half their products never do it for me, and some people never have the problem at all. Great customer service, I can't recommend avoiding Wilco or FeelThere enough because of their service. You want an airbus? Start looking forward to the Aerosoft Airbus. Want an RJ? Get the Aerosoft/DA CRJ when it comes out. I'd avoid FeelThere like the plague, I regret highly the money I've spent on them.
August 22, 201015 yr Poor debut on Avsim. Tom Risager NGX tutorial: http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=ftp&DLID=162360 SIDs & STARs Worked Examples: LOWI-UUDD, KSEA-KLAX, EKCH-ENGM, YSCB-YPAD
August 22, 201015 yr Evidently I'm being ignored ....posted a technical question the end of the week ... sunday is WEEKEND DAY and some people a lucky enough to have family and a life outside FS. maybe one could wait a few days for a techical answer??Great customer service, how many posts receive an answer in <2 hours on the feelThere forums? over 95%. (sleep is over-rated). i type this mesage during my 1/2 hour lunch break from the job that pays the bills, keeps the lights on, food on the table, etc.-- D. August 22, 201015 yr Noticed the same thing on the Airbus Deluxe model. Any patches soon?Dave "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO
August 22, 201015 yr I apologize for my impatience. But perhaps it might be better to say "This issue is being looked into, we'll get back to you with an answer." rather than maintaining radio silence. I imagine it could give everyone involved fewer grey hairs.
August 22, 201015 yr Author Poor debut on Avsim.CaptainMike has a problem and he's saying it here. Why would his be a poor debut ?
