September 11, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi,You can access the MCDU when the aircraft is unpowered. Click on 'MCDU menu' you will then have access to the maintenance & request pages, there you will find the external power option.Regarding your other issues, what your experiencing is not normal although others have mentiond the same thing happening, I only fly the CFM version but if we're all using the same model and airfile there must be an external factor somewhere. Like I suggested earlier register on the tech forum and hopefully other users without issues can assist. The APU burns fuel, the A320 normally loads with a very small fuel amount, enough for a few minutes APU time, unless you fuel the aircraft it will shutdown. I see a lot of posts regarding that issue. Rob Prest

If I don't post over there it is due to the size of the Avsim community and the ease of getting quick responses (lot of people here, lol).Clicking the MCDU Menu button doesn't seem to do anything. The MCDU Menu still won't come up.Another issue I found is that I get an Aircraft Initialization error when I try to load the tutorial flight. I ended up having to load the bus from the choose aircraft menu, turning off everything, and then saving it.I posted over there as well (I did about the tutorial but have not checked back yet). September 11, 201015 yr Since the last patch things are much better. Before the patch the CTD fear (and this was because they were so frequent) was a problem. You didn't dare touch the FMGC or do any deleting of waypoints. In the test flights I have done so far she seems much more stable. Al Stiff

If I could get that resolved I'd be one happy simmer! Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
September 12, 201015 yr I do not have those issues with tracking the flight plan, but if the waypoints are tight together get rid of one of them (in the past this would alomst always cause a CTD).As for the joystick issues. As mentioned above do not map the axis via FSUIPC. Al Stiff
September 12, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the post, Alstiff. I went in to my FSUIPC settings and checked, and low and behold, there were FSUIPC settings for my axes. In fact, it would appear that FSUIPC had settings inputted for all of my joytick/throttle/rudder axes. This is wierd since I don't remember ever usig FSUIPC to make these changes, of course, FSUIPC does't do it on it's own so it had to be my own fault. I also loaded the default Cessna first then switched aircraft over to the bus. Not sure if that helped at all but it is smooth flying so far. Anyways, I am at FL250 on the way to KLAX and have not had any crazy things happen yet (knock on wood). No screaming airline management so far. September 12, 201015 yr It is certainly a love/hate with this bird. So much potential and a crap load of fun when it goes well, so much a pain in the arse too! Al Stiff
October 29, 201015 yr Moderator Hey Ark,How’s your experience overall been a few weeks after re-purchase? Do you have the latest update installed? I’m thinking of re-purchasing myself (I too asked for a refund 5 days after initial release……)Also, since you deleted all joystick axis assignments in FSUIPC, did you also temporarily move or rename the FSUIPC.dll when flying the Airsimmer bus (I read somewhere that this is recommended). Thanks in advance,Pete I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11

Of course, I did not have that many issues with the initial release outside of the AP issues (which was just enough for me to ask for a refund). No need to remove FSUIPC, I just deleted the joystick settings.Hope this helps! :( Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
October 30, 201015 yr Moderator Thanks Ark. I think I'll take the plunge and re-purchase today. My wife's out of town and I'll have lots of time for tweaking, if needed.Of to the store to buy a sidestick now :( Cheers,Pete I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11
November 1, 201015 yr Moderator Hi Rafal, well, where to start?! I've know from my initial purchase when it first was released that the model and VC are stunning IMHO. I've flown it all day yesterday and haven't had any CTD's.My biggest concern are the fluctuating FPS I get with this bird, they're all over the place from 15-55 in VC. Unfortunately that doesn't make for a very smooth VC experience on my system. I tried the scs.gau temp fix, and while it does help it unfortunately also removes the altitude callouts, flaps sounds etc.My second biggest concern is that I had to do quite some configuring with the axis, since I typically use FSUIPC for that. I have a very bad feeling that none of my other add-ons will work with the current airsimmer configuration (I have a full goflight setup), which means I'll probably have to use different fs9.cfg's and fsuipc.ini's and swap 'em depending on what I fly. Very inconvenient to say the least.I'll do more flying in the next couple of days and will report back. Good thing is, the joystick I purchased yesterday will still serve me well, either for the airsimmer, or the wilco airbuses.Hope this helps,Pete I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11

Very inconvenient to say the least.Yes, that is also my biggest concern before repurchasing this bus. There are some people here, including Rob, who found ways around it but, like you said, still very inconveninet.I'll wait a bit more with my decsion, enjoying iFly now and waiting for the wingletted 763.If you have some more impressions to share here, please do.
