September 8, 201015 yr Im not sure where people get the thing about installing packages separately. I have all my WOAI packages in one folder, and when you go to load a package to install, you just select all you want and off you go. Download separately, install together, as said above.
September 8, 201015 yr Author Hi - Thanks for the replies. It seems some others are also going to move to WOAI.I'm looking forward to downloading and installing over the next few days.To clarify some of the posts - you have to download each airline livery as a seperate file, however when you install to FS9 you can select all the airlines. The longest part of the operation is the download from the site in initially.Question; If you do not like a livery for whatever reason, can you use TT to decompile the .bdl, delete the livery, then recomplile the .bdl??Cheers, Iain (YMHB) WilloW (YMHB) flaps2approach.comB737-800 simulator
September 9, 201015 yr Getting Russian AI is very difficult. Not really. I have a lot of Russian traffic in my sim. There are many Russian (and ex-Soviet) airline flightplans and liveries available in AVSIM, Flightsim and Avsim.su libraries (plus around 20 by WOAI).I compile them with TTols just like others. My often visited UUDD, ULLI, USSS and UNNT are heavily populated. If you do not like a livery for whatever reason, can you use TT to decompile the .bdl, delete the livery, then recomplile the .bdl?Of course. Just make sure to remove its entry in the flightplans.cfg or reassign this leg to another aircraft by changing the aircraft number for this leg (AC#) before you recomply.
September 9, 201015 yr Another question on WOAI: If there´s an operator found at an airport that is no longer current, is it easy to "delete" that particular airline from that given airport?/Johan /Johan Windh
September 9, 201015 yr is it easy to "delete" that particular airline from that given airport?Sure it is. Just choose the Expert panel when opening WOAI Installer and there you can use Delete to remove any airlines you wish. However, the whole airline traffic will be removed, not its presence at one airport. To do this, you would have to rework flightplans decompiled with TTools.

I meant that there are few packages (such as by PAI or WoAI) of Russian airlines (compared to US airlines, for example). I counted 11 in the WoAI database, but the problem is (for me) that they do not include some of the bigger, high profile airlines (such as Rossiya and UTair). They are mostly of what seems to be new, smaller airlines that probably don't use Soviet aircraft. To get these, you have to compile your own packages, which is exactly what I did. AThus, I too now have a filled-to-the-top UUDD, UNNTY, USSS, ULLI etc etc.Anyway, my point was that if you want much Russian traffic you have to do the work yourself, mostly. September 9, 201015 yr OK, sounds like something I can agree with now! :(Yay I must say that this is the reason I use MyTrafficX in FSX: it gives me a huge variety of airlines. Russian airports are filled with all kinds of Soviet aircraft. To be honest, this is the only reason I use MyTrafficX, because the I don't like the models themselves. The freeware models I find (which are also used by WoAI) are often sooo much better! Sadly, WoAI packages are not fully compatible with FSX, so you'll ahve to switch of aircraft shadows for some airports to see them... that's the reason I don't tend to use WoAI in FSX. September 9, 201015 yr Author Hi Guys;OK excuse my ignorance. :Praying:The WOAI file that makes the aircraft not visible in the "select aircraft" box when you start up FS9. The file is called Viability Update. The instructions say to install these files DIRECTLY into your FS9 folder. Is this the AIRCRAFT FOLDER or the folder that the aircraft folder resides (the folder directly above)?Oh - and should you make a special folder in the aircraft folder (named AI or something) to install all the liveries?? - to keep them in a neat place - or just install along with all the other FS9 aircraft.Thanks. September 9, 201015 yr Iain,Looks like you worry too much here! :biggrin:Just install WOAI packages. They will always automatically be installed in the main Aircraft folder (you'd have to choose to change it but don't do it).Separate subfolders with different models will automatically be created. You don't need to worry at all. Every new livery will be later added to them also by default. Most of the aircraft will be invisible in the aircraft menu, making FS faster to start up and the Aircraft menu to load, but even if some are there, they won't be any trouble.BTW: I need to come scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.If I do, I'll let you know. I hope to hear some recommendations then. :(
