September 10, 201015 yr Except for Australia, the regular "grass" textures for airports use the North America textures everywhere. That's why GEX NA will fix them. When FSX first came out there were many complaints about desert summer/fall textures and if you search you can find some "self help" or even in the library fixes for this. IIRC one method is to copy the spring textures for the 139b and 140b set into the summer "slot".scott s..
September 10, 201015 yr Commercial Member Interesting, just for kicks, I loaded up this airport, as I don't have any addons in this area whatsoever, and this is what I am seeing. At ground level:From above: Tim FuchsManaging PartnerREX SIMULATIONS website: www.rexsimulations.comsupport: www.rexaxis.com
September 10, 201015 yr Author Thanks for replies. I checked textures again and ı saw desert textures regardless of season which i choose. Maybe GEX or UTX fix this issue, I wonder which one can fix this exactly.. As scott says GEX NA will really fix this? Tim, you have really great textures around LTBJ, what packages do you use, GEX Europe or? Uygar Best Regards

I remember a long while back installing some package from avsim that fixed the brown 'desert' textures at airports though. Maybe someone may know which textures should be changed to get rid of this.. Uygar Best Regards
September 10, 201015 yr I don't know that it has any bearing Uygar, but do you have FSX SP1 and SP2 or Acceleration installed? Art
September 10, 201015 yr Author I don't know that it has any bearing Uygar, but do you have FSX SP1 and SP2 or Acceleration installed?Yes, i already have Acceleration Pack installed.. Uygar Best Regards
September 10, 201015 yr The crapy desert textures are the default FSX regardless of RTM, SP1/2 etc...Tim, you obviously intalled a texture pak of some kind.
September 10, 201015 yr I am pretty sure that GEX will fix it. Alot of the GEX textures replace some of the FSX default textures and I believe that the airport pads fall in that category. Jim Wenham

September 14, 201015 yr Author Hi again,As i said before i gave it a try. Woooowwww GEX europe was perfect, it changed all textures around LTBJ nicely.. And then i decided to reinstall fsx due to hd problem. i again installed FSX and GEX europe, but İ can't see any GEX europe texture around LTBJ. I know GEX europe does not contain turkey, but i somehow saw GEX europe textures around LTBJ at first and then ithey gone. Any idea? Uygar Best Regards
