September 15, 201015 yr I just built a new computer and it screams. However I had to reinstall all my flightsim addons. These guys were the fastest on response for help and advise right out of the gate GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. After my install I'm getting variable levels on the voice. The responses are normal for awhile then a get a voice blast at high volume. I've configured my audio and mike several times so I've run out of ideas. Any ideas to help cure this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,CaptMacDon McDaniel

September 16, 201015 yr Author Hi, yes happens everytime. Interesting, since you have not seen this at all anywhere else I'll try and run an update check on my motherboard and audio and see what happens there. Thanks for the response.CaptMacDon McDaniel
September 16, 201015 yr Actually I have this problem too from time to time, haven't thought about if it's always the same responses though where you get this sudden FO volume "spike". Just wanted to let you know you're not the only one who noticed this. Not a huge problem in any way but would of course be nice if it could be identified and fixed.

September 17, 201015 yr Nope, I usually keep the FS2Crew (FO) volume at 7 and the CAB volume at 5 and my speaker volume normal to have a suitable overall volume.Payed closer attention to this yesterday when doing some testing and what happened was that right from the start when you click the Run PF button and the FO says he's going to shut everything down the first 1-2 seconds the volume of his voice was quite low and then all of a sudden it became much louder. To me it appeared like those 1-2 seconds his voice was not at volume 7 like I set it but it was after those 1-2 seconds - are you with me?Not a big problem though at least not to me so no worries :(
September 17, 201015 yr Author Hi,Same with me on the audio settings. I've played around with the mike boost and the audio levels for the mike in the windows config. and things seem to have gotten better. CaptMacDon McDaniel
September 17, 201015 yr Too early to say for sure but it seems the problem is less occurent or might even be gone by choosing a lower volume for the FS2Crew. Normally like mentioned above I have the FO volume at 7 but last flight I tried having it at 5 instead and with that volume I never noticed the problem. Will do some more testing during the weekend I hope.
November 1, 201015 yr Author Well I've lowered the audio, updated audio drivers, and gone through the performance audio settings in the control panel and I'm still getting a occasional audio blast from the co-pilot. Any new news on this issues???CaptMacDon McDaniel

November 1, 201015 yr Author HI,I've been keeping the Fscrew volume at 3.5 to 4.0 already. Strange stuff hu? I know there must be a simple config setting on my system or program. I just can't seem to figure it out.CaptMacDon McDaniel
December 7, 201015 yr Hey guys! count me in as well, Im getting a nice normal level then BANG!!! its seriously really loud, at first I thought I had blown the speakers. Anyways ya I'd like a fix for it. I have very bad nerves from an industrial accident and this defentely does not help. Love the product though.Ron Hamilton. Love the product though.Ron Hamilton.Hi Ron,The only thing I can think of is a driver/sound card issue. There are a lot of people using this sound engine, and what you described has only been reported a few times out of a very large #.If able, can you try a different sound card?Cheers, B. December 8, 201015 yr I don't have another sound card but I will defently try some new drivers, thanks Bryan....can't wait for the NGX Voice Control. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
May 7, 201115 yr I'm having this issue every time I fly now (and I also get it on the 747 Voice Commander edition). On my system though, it doesn't matter how much I turn up the volume in the config window. 4, 5, 6, 7....the FO voice is always the same volume; low.But then at random points during the flight it will spike to the volume I chose. So if it's at 7 I can briefly hear what he's saying past the engine noise before he's not understandable again.Lowering the volume to 3 doesn't let me distinguish the spikes anymore, the FO volume is just too low to hear from that point.I've reinstalled audio drivers, made sure windows 7 doesn't lower the volume automatically (disabled the option to adjust volume automatically for using the microphone).I don't know what else to do, and from what I've read I'm not the only one.As of now, I can't use the J41 FS2Crew at all.I can still use the 747 version because the engines aren't as loud.Has this ever been resolved?
