In case you have ever wondered what the 310 would look like with a Garmin G500 and 530 update.

I found it very interesting that he said the STC required the speed tape to read MPH vice knots. Because on my 1975 C-310R, there airspeed gauge is marked in knots with backup MPH and the POH lists the critical speeds in knots.I realize he is flying an earlier Q model, so perhaps the change happened immediately afterward. Still, I would very much dislike having my tape in MPH versus knots since everything else would reference knots such as the Garmin GNS-530W.Ken

I'm around "experimental/homebuilts" a lot, where we can make up our own mind to use knots or miles per hour. I went the knot route in my RV6A, as the Pipers I flew used knots. But it's surprising how many will go the mph route. Doesn't even matter if they're from a commercial or military background. I think it's just because mph sounds faster, and looks better for bragging rights. L.Adamson
You do realize that the keyboard commands still work, right? To "cut the port engine..."E,1 (selects engine #1 control)Ctrl-Shift-F1 (cuts fuel flow instantly to engine #1)Click on lower 1/3rd of the prop pitch lever for engine #1 to "feather" the propE,1,2 (selects both engine's controls)
Hey Bill,Yeah, I know those work!!! Haha, been around FS for a long time. However, I always had issues in FS9, where I could not get both engines (or more if applicable) back using that! So, I have avoided it since :(

That is caused by poorly scripted XML "gauges" for the most part, although I have seen some poorly coded C gauges over the years. Anything that causes a continuous key event to be generated will "block" any of the several "Select" type events, such as doors, engines, prop pitch, mixture, etc.The C310R was very carefully coded/scripted to avoid this particular issue. :(

In case you need something to do while your C310 in down for maintenance.http://www.americanf...ent/skyking.aspSixty-four episodes to watch. I do believe the 310 is in there somewhere. Around episode 26, maybe? But then again, if it's Penny you want to see, start at episide 1.

How about the old Cessna in the early episodes? This series is what made me fall in love with the 310.Vic
