It drives me crazy because I would buy this stuff in a heart beat, it's not even that expensive and USB plug and play. I've contacted them in the past and they refuse to sell outside of Japan. My old man still flies to Japan, I was thinking of getting him to order from within the country and then pick up on his next roster, only problem is will the software even work on our installs? It's beyond me why they don't want a outside distributor, they could make a huge amount selling to the rest of the world, are they worried someone will replicate the design? :(http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.final-approach.co.jp/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=10&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2522Final%2BApproach%2522%26start%3D10%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DNIf I could at least know that it will work with my UK/US windows and FS and I can assign all the buttons etc I would get one picked up in Japan.

well thank you, all I got after the 2004 FSX and vista were black dots and some sort of symbolsso I wasn't able to read that is actually was a saitek.:)

So maybe Saitek is making all this stuff for them and that is why they can't sell outside of Japan?

That doesn't really make sense, if Saitek made these products then we would see them being sold in the West along with the other products. I had a friend of mine who speaks Japanese contact them a few years back, the problem is they can't provide tech support in other languages, who knows maybe it will just cost them too much to hire English speaking tech support. Personally I don't care, if it breaks I'm willing to take the risk and fix it myself, just let me buy it! :)

Alternatively, it may simply be too much hassle and expense to obtain the necessary permits for export outside of Japan, not to mention shipping and customs expenses... :(

Sounds like the perfect opportunity for an enterprising Japanese business man... A little mark up here - a little mark up there - some familiaity with customs - buy from the manufacturer in bulk = instant global business opportunity... They do look pretty impressive... :( Regards,Scott
