September 21, 201015 yr Hey guys, I have a question for those that own bothwhich one is easier on frame rates, I own the duke and LOVE it, but I can't really fly it over anything but photoscenery, default scenery, and some of my lighter sceneries.is the C310 easier on the framerates from the VC?I am not asking for a comparison of the two planes quality-wise as they both seem like high-fidelity simulation, only performance-wise.Thanks
September 21, 201015 yr They are both wonderful addons! They are really close in FPS too, but I find the C310 to be just a hair tougher. However, they just released a lower res texture set, and I'm sure that would help booster the FPS!The C310 is awesome, and I highly recommend it! Image Coming... KregE | B757/767 FO
September 22, 201015 yr I only have the Duke so I won't comment but as a suggestion, make sure your mouse cursor is not in the window while flying an FSX plane - I, along with a few other users have noticed massive fps drops, around 30-40% with the cursor displayed...anyway, your PC smokes mine and I manage with the Duke. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
September 22, 201015 yr The Duke is kind of strange in a way. There is a definite frame rate hit with it but it still runs very smoothly. You can't talk only in FPS when dealing with the Duke. It's really in a class by itself. Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.
September 22, 201015 yr They are both about equal. It should come down to which plane you have more interest in. I like RealAir's simulation a little bit better, but I like the C310 subject material more. So I've got both! :( Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
