These Ariane threads are like someone repeatedly asking: "So, is the world flat?" knowing full well that a quick search would answer your question. With all the information that has shown that dealing with Ariane is going to be hit or miss I fail to understand why we are still fighting this battle after so many years? With the stunning amount of complaints on all FS community forums as well as the long controversial history of Ariane, if you are still rolling the dice with your hard earned money with that company then, yes it sounds harsh... its your own fault. Ariane has become a rouge company that sits on the fringes of the FS development community. There is no doubt that there is indeed talent at that company but dealing with them is probably not worth the price of their products at any price. I just don't see why we are still having these conversations after all this time.

Hello Mike,I totally agree with you, well it was my fault, they do have talent, the product looks so professional, the problem is that, they are so hard to reach, just finished doing some research on the net, amazing, nice words and reviews for B737-900er and NONE for B737-700er in whatsoever !!!I am asking kindly the moderator to close this topic I think it's enough.Thank you allAlaa

Yep it's in LPS, they have at the OM an example I do follow it, however, because in reality there is no ER version for B737-700, they mentioned it's like their invention, and approved by BOIENG ? what happened is they added fuel tanks to extend range, when you want to add like 80% of the fuel tank at the FSX fuel and load menu , it comes in red ? as you are exceeding the planes limits for FSX, while it's not for the model, I don’t know I will try MSW idea above it might work Thank you FLEX1978Alaa

There is a problem in that if you put in a GW above some (undefined) figure, the FMC just won't accept it. But it won't tell you why not. So just try putting lower and lower figures in.In the Ariane parallel universe, there was also a completely unhelpful FAQ entry, put up no doubt by some Ariane employee who wanted to test the limits of Ariane customers' gullibility, or perhaps to see how far they could be ridiculed. The FAQ said that you should 'Pause' the simulation while entering the figure, because otherwise the plane would be consuming fuel and the figure would never be exactly correct. An acute and subtle philosophical point, but perhaps best filed under "complete b*ll*cks".The marketing images that Ariane use are drop-dead stunning, but the blurb itself is pretentious and overblown. I've still got the plane, gathering dust in a forgotten corner of my hangar. It's not that good, the VC is uninspiring by today's standards, and the PMDG 737 will make it look like freeware from a semi-talented beginner.

CS is far better than they used to be, they sometimes even fix some of the bugs we all point out to them! Their 707 is supposed to be getting better with the new patch, I enjoyed the Herc, and their 727 is good looking and flies ok. Of course the Dreamfleet 727 will be perfection but Ariane is on a whole new level, what CS used to be but Ariane never changed for the better while CS did.

Hello PetraeusThe Ariane model of fueling does something like no other, if engine is running and you watch closely the fuel amount it decreases by the second, although this seems to be the right thing, but this results in continuous change in GW, so it was obvious that engine should be off while the input of FMC, but simple solution to this is just to round the figure of GW, for examples like 155615LPS so input of 155.5 or even 155.0 should work or to make an automatic input ? while it doesn't.Can't wait for PMDG to release the NGX, as I heard if PMDG releases a toilet seat simulator I will be their first customer.Thank you for your comment and help.Alaa

Hello CS is very respected company with such beautiful models for all products, although little just little hard to obtain technical support but at least models are working fine, well I had a problem at the B757 Captain, the famous rocking problem at the ILS approaches (using AP) specially at very low altitude (1000-200ft), well it was kind of strange because before when I used to have Windows vista 32 as OS I had no such problem, when I upgraded to W7, 64 it started so cant possibly blame it on them.Even with the PMDG747-400/800i there was the swaying problem at cruise altitude with time accelerator, REX2 and FSUIPC but couldn't blame them because if you disable whether the plane would perform normally so it's a third party problem !RegardsAlaa

The problem with CS is mainly that their airplanes are really unrealistic. Microsoft spends more time on their FDE and systems for the default airplanes.
