October 31, 201015 yr I received an email stating CaptaiSim had a demo of their 707 up so I immediately headed over to DL ad check it out. Then I noticed this in the decription: Please note, the Free Demo has the following limitations:• No Extensive Systems Programming (all systems inop, engines OFF)• No Custom Lighting Control• Hundreds of Custom Animations inop• No Flight Model (flight controls locked in the Demo)• No Custom system sounds and crew voice messages• No Exclusive visual Effects• No Authentic Sound Set• No Weather Radar• No Repaint Kit So......what am I getting a Demo of....a rotating plane in my FSX Aircraft selection window? I can't fly it, I can't hear it, I can't check systems fidelity, I can't even see all of the animations. Thanks, CS! I will definately drop $70 now!!!! /Sarcasm off :( Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
October 31, 201015 yr Yes, I thought that too.I'm very curious about the product and would love to try it out, but the 'demo' is next to useless.Don't know why they bothered.Ian
October 31, 201015 yr Very slowly, over some years, i've become a bit of a fan of CS aircraft, especially after some steep customer service improvements. However, I too feel this is a bit pathetic.I think this demo is a 'back to school' for CSIt's certainly put me off buying it for now, though as per usual, I'm probably shooting myself in the foot. October 31, 201015 yr First a price cut and now this? Well it's still way too expensive IMO. Another price cut and I'm there.
October 31, 201015 yr No extensive systems programming? No authentic sound set? No flight model? Well, in that case it's actually pretty close to the full product. [Just joking here... kind of]

October 31, 201015 yr At least they give you something. Everyone else that I know of you just have to rely on word of mouth and maybe some Youtube videos to decide if it's worth your money or not.

Everyone else that I know of you just have to rely on word of mouth and maybe some Youtube videos to decide if it's worth your money or not.Yes, I agree. I appreciate the fact that they offered this. It cleared up a couple points I was wondering about (for example, whether FS9 repaints were compatible). So I will be buying it.John
October 31, 201015 yr CS's 707 is the nicest long-haul aircraft I've purchased for years. If you like old birds, this one is perfect. The FDX is ultra realistic, I truely recommand this airplane even if I agree, the demo doesn't give it justice. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.

CS is probably the only FS company that gives any demos.

November 1, 201015 yr Yes, the Flight1 system is just unbeatable. In all my years of flight simming, I think i've possibly used the refund service twice. On each occasion it was just as stated 'on the tin'... No quibbles. It's what keeps me going back there. That, and being able to redownload lost orders and info (though SimMarket is now very good with that also).
