November 4, 201015 yr The check for TR serviceability is current, not voltage, because the TR voltage indicates that of the associated DC busses (for TR's 1 & 2). TR's should always be checked before commencing an autoland because the TR3 disconnect relay / cross bus tie relay opens at glideslope capture and this will leave DC Bus 1 unpowered if TR1 had previously failed. NG's have a TR UNIT light which illuminates if either TR1 or TR2 and TR3 fail in flight or if any TR's fail on the ground. The TR's are unregulated and output rated to 50 Amps.Did you get this info from SmartCockpit?
November 4, 201015 yr Author Question #6 : How tired is Jkac after a red eye1) so tired he can't even spell his name right2) So tired that hzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzOk but the real question is:During engine start, as the engine N2 accelerates through 50% you notice the oil press is still 0. What do you do?Jack C
November 4, 201015 yr Wait until the engine is stable at idle. If there is no oil pressure do the aborted engine start.cheersNick de J.
November 4, 201015 yr Did you get this info from SmartCockpit? No... but there are also dedicated 737 sites around. I found the info about the TR check on b737.org.uk. "A life is like a garden. November 4, 201015 yr Well, either way, you must land. I'm not sure what else you'd do, it would be a crash landing, if there is no sensor problem. Alexander Brinson
November 4, 201015 yr Wait until the engine is stable at idle. If there is no oil pressure do the aborted engine start.cheersNick de J.That's what I think as well, since the oil scavenger pump may not provide enough pressure to the return tank at low N2 values.
