Plane Suggestions

Featured Replies

Hi,I am looking for a framerate friendly, but fully simulated aircraft that fits into one of these types of a/c; I was thinking like a turbocharged single or even a turboprop single, or a twin, or maybe a light jet, like a Citation SP. I currently own the Carenado Seneca II for FSX and like it, but was looking for something maybe a little faster. Oh, one more thing, I don't like FS9 ports because they seem to be bad on frames, I find most FSX native a/c to be properly optimized. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.I own the ESDG Citation SP for FS9 and really enjoy it, i was wondering if there is not something similar that is a true FSX model.

The RealAir Duke is an amazing plane, but the framerate isnt fantastic for a GA plane. Its not terrible either tho

What system do you have? I have to tweak my installation a bit to increase fps. Normally I comment out the copilot PFD (so it won't display), and don't use the inset maps on the pilot PFD. Also I don't run the MFD with terrain on.On my rig I can fly rural areas without issue. Flying metropolitan areas can be an issue... maybe 10-12 fps whereas the default crj would yield 16-20 fps.

If you're comparing it to Carenado's older birds, you're correct. But mine performs about 30% less than default c172. It's near the same category as Orbx Lancair and Carenado's F33. The Duke really is a must have!

Speaking of Lionheart, has anyone tried the Victory VLJ? Looks pretty good too, I've never owned a Lionheart a/c, but they all look well done? Do they compare to Carenado or others? Are they in-depth simulations and how are the frame rates? Thanks!!!

I think they are special - love the Kodiak and as you can see from the review, was impressed by the Victory as well:http://www.avsim.com/pages/0510/Lionheart/EpicVictory.htm

Bought the victory a while back but just wasn't convinced by flight dynamics... It just felt wrong so removed (framerates where ok though..)

Cheers,

Thomas
