November 25, 201015 yr HiI am thinking of going to the CS 757, considering my disappointment with the QWings' one.I like the "realistic" and reliable addons such the Level-d 767 and the LeonardoDH MD80.Do you think this one will bring the same enjoyment? For example, how does it behave at take-off: can de-rate be used, does the FD work to maintain V2+15?Can you implement along track waypoints?ThanksGhiom
November 25, 201015 yr I like the "realistic" and reliable addons such the Level-d 767 and the LeonardoDH MD80. Do you think this one will bring the same enjoyment?Briefly: NO!My life's shortest review: "It is a great looking flyable addon".No, seriously a bit more.PROS: - great looking exterior- fantastic animations- very appealing VC- updatable AIRAC- FMC with most functions availableCONS:- not very FPS friendly- some gauges readability problems on the 2D panel- no key assignment included- you pay for the freighter and the -300 versions separately- no support anymoreAs for the FDE, I can't tell you exactly as I was flying it for a rather short period of time and uninstalled quickly (no problem for a 9 euro promo purchase).I don't remember any serious problems though. Anyway, Level-D or Leonardo Maddog are of a different league, if you ask me. So don't let yourself be disappointed.
November 25, 201015 yr Actually, I think it's worth a punt, and I'll tell you why. It costs 29.99 Euros, which is about 25 quid. But, if you subtract ten quid from that, it leaves you with a price tag of 15 quid of course, and since you get the CS weather radar thrown in with it for that 25 quid, which is good and can be added to any other aircraft in FS and would otherwise cost you a tenner, that means the CS 757 is effectively only 15 quid (if you want a weather radar). Now if anyone can name me another FS airliner which has more systems simulated than the CS 757 which you can get for 15 quid, I'll be very surprised. The CS 757 is a bit heavy on FPS, and it benefits from a bit of tweaking to make it fly better, but it's a fairly decent simulation of the 757 and a complex one too, with most systems in there (which accounts for the high demands and it being tough on FPS). I quite like it myself, and I've been happy enough with it, and ironically, I actually bought that CS weather radar separately and paid a tenner for that LOL, so I didn't benefit from what anyone who hasn't bought it can do by purchasing the CS 757.Of course much of that relates to the FSX version, but the FS9 version is very similar in many ways.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
November 25, 201015 yr CS 757 is quite good in simulating the systems, but for FS9 standards very heavy on the FPS. I can´t fly her well, cause of some gauge problems, relating to my OS, I think. She needs far more FPS as even the PMDG 747-400/F which is working on my system without any FPS loss even in a deteiled scenery as Frankfurt X form Aerosoft with 80% ai traffic (WOAI) enabled. As said very heavy on FPS, but a nice plane, especially the VC is one of the most stunnig I ever seen ( The only one which is better is the RealAir Beech Duke´s one, but this is FSX).I don´t know where you are living, but if you are in Europe, you should get the Pro Pack from Just Flight. It´s every block in it, even the freighters and the weather radar. I bought this version, It is good, but I can´t use in now, cause of some gauge problems. All in all considered, it´s worth buying. Go, get it. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
November 25, 201015 yr Phoenix Simulation Software...or PSS 757 will be a good choice, if you want 757...http://www.justflight.com/product.asp?pid=174 My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....
November 26, 201015 yr Author ThanksI've got the PSS757 already. Not flown it for ... 3 years? If the PSS757 is better than the CS757, OK, I'll forget about the CS757 for good.Their 777 could have been a very good product, provided:- the exterior model was better (why not use the Posky one?)- the VNAV descent (too late) was OK- the 200ER variant was modeled- the fde was improvedAnyway, I have great hopes for the Ifly 737. I bought it and I am waiting for the SP to fly it again...ThanksGhiom
November 26, 201015 yr Anyway, I have great hopes for the Ifly 737. I bought it and I am waiting for the SP to fly it again...ThanksGhiomDoes it not fly okay at the moment? Mine seems pretty okay as it is. All I had to do was increase the deadzone on my stick a bit to stop that tripping the autopilot off, apart from that it seems to work well.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
November 26, 201015 yr I have great hopes for the Ifly 737. I bought it and I am waiting for the SP to fly it again...It flies very fine even now, before the SP. There are no critical bugs and the aircraft is really enyoable. At least from my perspective. It has even started being officially supported by Navigraph as of today.
November 26, 201015 yr Agreed, can't stop flying the Ifly at the moment, and sorry to say it but the CS 757 is a piece of junk imho.I have the QW and the CS one and the QW blows the CS out of the water, even being less complicated it still is better simulated. And it looks at least as nice as the CS one does at half the FPS cost.

I bought it and I am waiting for the SP to fly it again...ThanksGhiomMerge the PSS777 with the POSKY 777! That is the very best 777 you can now get for FS2004, and I must say I love it. Hardly fly anything else, to be honest... You get an aircraft that is very functional, has one of the best implementation and faultless panel saving that I have seen, and the exterior/interior is looking great. I couldn't have wished for a better 777. Also, at the Avsim library you cna find better FDEs. Also search this FS2004 forum: there are one or tow threads that contain some very useful merging information. I am still waiting for the iFly's Sp1. When they have solved the FDE issues concerning necessary thust on the ground and in the air I will fly it. November 26, 201015 yr Author Thralni,The merge will remove the best part of the PSS 777: its VC...I don't see how you can claim this setup to be the best...Unless:1) you don't fly from the VC2) I am missing something... :( Ghiom
