Just the FSX folder is around 122gb.Taking ALL the FSX related folders spread across 6 HDs and it's about 3.0TB. My slow DSL speed is holding me back...Looking at adding a couple more 2TB HDs, if I can find a good price on them. Found one new source of data that just makes my mouth water. Knowing that the uncompressed source is 4TB makes me shudder! :(
Those are staggering numbers. You use tileproxy ?? Where do those numbers come from? Mind sharing your source? :)G.

There are times I wonder why I do what I do, but I do it to fill free time. No Tile Proxy, never used it. I make my own and prefer to find the best source possible. My current project is my home state and involves over 11,000 files at 2TB. I could use compressed source to generate the scenery at a big savings in download size, but having the original files that made the compressed source leads to a better visual experience, IMO.I can't really describe much, as the work should appear as a commercial product, some day. And I respect and adhere to the Avsim prohibition on advertising on the forums.
Mine's the same size as all the other ones. Look...folder.jpgAl

I have to stop enjoying my tea while reading these forums, out the nose and all over my monitor and keyboard.biggrin.gif
Yep, that's what I thought... :(Big%20Grin.gifLMAO, thanks, you just made my day...! :LMAO:Oh, and for the record, only few customizations make me an ultralight as well, running just over 30 gigs atm. Guess my machine wouldn't handle those incredible numbers posted here anyways. :(
