They are getting there:)

Yeah I think that means they may be going beta soon. I bet within the next 3 months we'll have the NGX, which is just fine by me.

It will be a great surprise when ever I find out that the NGX is released. Looking forward to that day.

i think it will be short before or short after christmas. Before would be a great christmas present, although the holidays are pretty short. (3 day off incl. sat and sunday). On the other hand would PMDG have a great christmas if they have loads of support requests filling up the queue while they were celebrating? However. still waiting for it

Best regards,

Me too; thinking maybe sometime end of Jan as they have mentioned before that their Beta process is not too slow. All in all they are moving and we should happy the product is looking good and maybe in our hands at some point. Looking forward to some more VC images as they have changed things a little and I like what I am seeing with the relase of the videos:)

What I think they mean by "internal to external testing" is they've transitioned from the coding and modelling side to actually making sure the airplane 'works' in the FS world. This could be in the form of just trying out every possible system on the airplane, all the different situations that could be imposed on the airplane, making sure they work as they're supposed to. On the modelling/texturing side, however, I'm guessing they'd start to look for holes in the VC (but I'm guessing Vin wouldn't lazily put this thing together, right?), any texture faults and just make sure everything that should be there is there, and is the correct size. This also implies the exterior model, as well. All in all, this could very well be the turning point for the NGX and it might actually be going into Beta, if not already in Beta, and we might be getting a brief update on the support forums soon, hopefully.

Sounds like that could be the case too :( I guess all in all its a positive statement and I am sure they will keep us informed of whats going on either by an overall update or little bits of more detalied system and or model info. I'm still liking the HD HUGS video lol))

I'm just going to clarify so there's no wild theories:Internal to External testing means that we're going from just members of PMDG seeing the test builds to our technical advisory team made up of real NG pilots, engineers, designers etc seeing it now. This is also what I would call "late Alpha." The plane works, it's flyable etc, we're just making sure everything's modeled correctly now before we go beta with it.

Wow that sounds really good. "Precision Manuals" Development Group. Hell yea, good name and now I know why it's called "Precision." :)

Ryan,Thanks for the clarification. Sounds pretty cool that actual NG pilots will get a chance to take the NGX for a spin. Things look to be coming along nicely. :(

fingers crossed for the next update to be very soon, and too see the exterior, I am sure the staff at pmdg can understand that 11months of looking at a small area of aircraft is hard to cope with XD
