December 28, 201015 yr Commercial Member It would be cool, when the NGX comes out, to have a stickied thread (locked) that lists all the reported bugs, that are in fact, not bugs but features or programmed quirks. Sounds like there will be a lot. Noah Bryant
December 28, 201015 yr Not if you don't have a slopped runway it isn'tRon HamiltonI'm pretty sure the GPWS uses the radio altimeter for measuring the altitude and not the air pressure, so a sloped runway should not have any effect
December 28, 201015 yr Not if you don't have a slopped runway it isn'tNot sure the sloped runway has any relation to the above movie. It can simply be a known limitation in the GPWS for this particular aircraft/GPWS installation. Michael J.
December 28, 201015 yr Also DH is st to 50 ? possible CAT III constraine, maybe it's related .. Alaa A. RiadJust love to fly............... W11 64-bit, MSFS2020, Intel Core i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20 Ghz 6 Cores, 2 TR HD, 16.0 GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 MB GDDR5

I'm not sure how it is in foreign countries (the pilots don't sound like they're speaking english, so I'm guessing), but that's how it is Stateside. CAT-II, Stateside, is normally a 100' DH. December 28, 201015 yr Exactly.I claim there is no connection between sloped runway and any version of GPWS/EGPWS. Traditional GPWS could not account for such runway - has no way of knowing what terrain is ahead so having radar altimeter is of no consequence. EGPWS could theoretically know that except that this low and during landing below certain altitude above runway its warnings are simply disabled. In the large scheme of things sloping runways are insignificant terrain features, these devices are designed for completely different magnitude of threats. Michael J.
December 28, 201015 yr This is the 2nd or 3rd topic where someone posts information about a 737-3/5 but talks about the NG... please people get your models right.
December 28, 201015 yr Author Ok, explanation for all those technic freaks:Intention of the thread:I wanted to make you smile. Therefore I posted a video which is kind of funny.I then referred to the upcoming NGX, as PMDG really includes everything which is possible, and said ironicly that if this will occur randomly, it would be a feature, not a bug. I never said the Bobby in the video would be a NG....?That's all... :( Regards. Matthias Hanel MilViz Beta Team
December 28, 201015 yr Like someone commented over at youtube, GPWS watched this video and disliked it. I wonder what a GPWS Facebook profile would look like. Cheers,Victor M. Lima
