January 25, 201115 yr Author If you want to spend the money on UT, it is well worth it. I don't have UT Europe myself, and I also don't know if it will fix both of your issues. And I do think you have 2 seperate issues, though the cause for both may be the same. If you want to try to fix it for free, first do a Windows Explorer search of your FS9\Scenery\Eurw\scenery folder for all files containing 4913Here is my results from a default FS9 for your comparison...If you would like to try restoring your original files from your FS9 disks then look at this excellent webpage by Jim Robinson- http://www.cat-tamer...sim/faq001.htmlAlso download this file from the library, it lists every file in FS9 and tells which disk it is on- http://library.avsim....php?DLID=41627You might also try getting the original worldlc.bgl and seasons.bgl from your disks and place them in FS9\Scenery\BASE\sceneryAs always, back up your files before replacing them with others.I do not have the Cloud 9 Amsterdam, did you uninstall it or simply deactivate it in the Scenery Library?regards,JoeI have replaced all of the files that you said to replace, in other words, i replaced the worldlc.bgl, the seasons.bgl, etc. And i have made sure that i had all of those files shown in the picture, i even replaced them w/original files just to be sure. and yet again of course nothing has changed, any other ideas? perhaps there is something else and not the .bgl files? remember that i completely replaced the landclass files in the BASE file with the original. other than that, im pretty much out of ideas here. And yes, i de-activated Cloud 9 Amsterdam, i did not uninstall it.
January 26, 201115 yr To verify, you have replaced the default files that I specified in FS9\Scenery\Eurw\scenery and you still see the square shorelines shown in your screenshots. If this is the case, then there must be a/some VTP exclude files in an active folder with a higher priority than FS9\Scenery\Eurw\scenery.In the Scenery Library deactivate all addon sceneries (non-default) and test.I do not have the Cloud 9 EHAM to verify this, but some scenery addons (especially payware) will deactivate stock files. The proper way to remove them from your sim is to uninstall them, not delete them like you say you did. When you delete them, as opposed to uninstalling them, the default files do not get re-activated.You may want to seek help from the folks at Cloud 9.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

January 27, 201115 yr From your pics it appears that you are using addon textures (non-default).Some addon texture pacs are one season only.I think this is what is causing the section of Europe to not display snow in winter, as shown in your last screenshot. regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

January 28, 201115 yr Commercial Member just as i thought: add on textures == ground environment proi guess i better need to contact them, how is it that ge pro makes textures that are only one season? a bit weird?Of course GE PRO has textures for all seasons PLUS one, which is Hard winter. You are on the right track fixing your problem anyway, but what you are seeing in the last shot is definitely a problem with the season.bgl, which may reside in more locations than one and there could be ANOTHER custom one still enabled somewhere in your install causing a conflict.

January 31, 201115 yr Author if this is really a scenery.bgl problem, how is it that there is only one .bgl file and why is it corrupted if its from the original game disks (as a replacement)?
January 31, 201115 yr Unfortunately .bgl filenames can be changed to anything one desires without impacting what they do.The issue of no snow in the southern part of your screenshot could be caused by several different possibilities. You could have a problem with your GE Pro textures resulting in one season being displayed all year. This is unlikely, but possible.Having replaced the original seasons.bgl you have eliminated the possibility of that file being corrupt (or more likely having been overwritten by an addon) yet that file could still be being overwritten by a file in an addon that has higher priority than seasons.bgl. This can be tested by un-checking every addon in the Scenery Library.Another possibility is that the area in question has some custom textures that do not have seasonal variations. I doubt this is happening because the textures on both sides of the seasonal break in youir screenshot match up pretty good. But it is still a possibility. In your screenshot of the contents of your Scenery\BASE\Scenery folder are 6 files beginning with "ed". Do you know what they are for? They are not default files.Try moving them out of any active scenery folder and test.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

February 1, 201115 yr I am starting to run out of ideas. If you still see no hard winter in that area with all addons turned off then you have some files in one of the default folders that is causing the issue.Using my earlier post, you might try re-naming Scenery\Eurw\Scenery, then extract that complete folder from your discs and place it in Scenery\Eurw.You might also try that with Scenery\Eure\Scenery also.Make sure when testing that you have Addon Scenery\Scenery turned off also, even though it's a default folder.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
February 1, 201115 yr Hello,You are not alone with this issue. Yesterday I was flying from LIRF to LSZB and while I was over northern italy southwest from Milan I saw the same hard line that you have in your picture. It looks like summer to the south and winter to the north. I printed the screen, tonight I will uploaded for you to see. I have your same configuration FS9 and GE Pro. I believe its related to GE Pro which I have installed only a couple months ago. I have been using FS9 for years and flying in the same area in all four seasons, and this is the first time that I see this happened.Juan
