I know it usually starts on the saturday after Valentine's day, which would make it on February 19th... But, does anyone have a more official start date for the 2011 race? I'll need some idea soon, since I have a couple other things I'll have to work around the race so it doesn't interfere...And could we get the countdown clock updated on the fsrtw site accordingly? ;)

I have been tasked with doing the bonus bank again for 2011 at rtw.eamonnwatson.com and so I know the start date is February 19th 2011. Also I emailed Matt Smith last night regarding the website and he emailed back to say he will update it this week.The bonus bank is almost done, have to get it to save the penalty/bonus info. I am also working on an AVSIM tracker similar to the map i created last year just nicer. :)Looks like things are on the way.

Eamonn,Your bonus bank worked really well last year, so it's great that you're able to provide the same thing again. It would be good if you could give it some security, so that only team members could put their data in, and not just anyone. Last year we had a bit of a problem with others (no idea who) amending our team's data, and we kept having to re-enter it.Thanks and regards,MartiniFlyOnline.com

Hey Martin,I am way ahead of you on that one. If you look at it right now at rtw.eamonnwatson.com and click on bonus bank you will see a password field. I will co-ordinate with the organizers to hand out a team password so only your team will be able to make and remove entries. The only persons not on your team who will know the password are the organizing committee and myself.There is an avsim tracker you can look at if you wish too. It is not fully functional yet. This however will be password protected before the race as we will use it to map out where we are compared to other teams and to determine location of bonus/required airports based on the rules when they are released. Last year I used a map to track the continental airports ;)Thanks

Good to hear that the race is on. I appreciate all the effort that the race committed and volunteers put into this. I have been really busy so my practice time is limited. I hope to get on and do some flying tonight (Thursday) hopefully. Any North Americans up late?Cheers!

I would Buzz but ... me wings are clipped. :( Motherboard is indicating cpu overtemp(for both cpu sockets). It was an intermittent problem that began last fall. A replacement battery and clearing the CMOS seemed to solve the problem. But "intermittent" became "persistent" this week; my board should be headed to Louisville on a FEDEX truck "even as we speak".And with Intel's brilliant RMA policy, it will likely be two weeks before I am up and running again, assuming they send a good replacement. :( :( B) Interesting how "diverse" the RMA policies these computer companies have... called Dell yesterday about a problem I am having with my 2408WFP and in a few minutes the rep said, "we'll have you a replacement in 2 - 3 business days." Guess who I'll continue to do business with as my monitor supplier, and who I will avoid at all costs as my motherboard supplier.

i cant get into tracker password is false?I might be stupid, but at what server dow we play this event? that is assuming we do this on a multiplayer server like the old days?and what about voice comm?

Hi Leon, we have a private forum which we are trying to get you access to with all information about servers and such. I think StoneC0ld is going to/has sent a request to the Avsim admins to have you added to the race group.

The bonus bank looks good Eamonn. I see you have a count-down timer running, which is suggesting a start time of 1700 zulu. Is that a confirmed start time, or are you just guessing?Regards, Martin.
