What figure are we looking for?

Next is LGA 2011, due Q4 2011. That's the new enthusiast socket for Sandy Bridge. Then Ivy Bridge in 2012 will be a shrink to 22nm of current SB chips, probably both for LGA1155 & LGA2011, but it remains to be seen if Intel will release IB for LGA1155 or not. IB is supposed to be the same thing as SB but with better efficency and overclocking capabilities. The next new architecture will be Haswell in 22nm and then, it's shrink to 14nm, Rockwell
Which one looks more promising to you?

MSFS

Usually the biggest overall performance leap comes with the new architecture and shrinks bring better efficiency and overclockability

Be real careful with those volts. That is extremely high, even for brief runs.. Kind regards,

I guess he's OK with burning his CPU... some people have more money that they can spend, apparently.

"So, what's under your hood and how fast does it go?"Hi Dave!I'm sorry if I've been a lil off topic with my recent posts in this thread.Something tells me I need qualify myself. I don't think I'm getting much in the way of credibility around here ....maybe its my 'FunknNasty' handle. Or maybe it's because I'm lil too informal around here. At any rate...About me:--I'm a middle aged white man born and raised in Silicon Valley -that's in Nor-Cal for the uninitiated.--I've been over-clocking puters since the tech support dood told me I needed a 33mhz FSB bus for smooth play.--My 1st job (working for someone other than family) was stuffing mobos for Osborne computers -the 1st """laptop""", again for the uninitiated.--Family business was buying and selling IC's (Integrated circuits)before my 1st real job.--Puter games that hooked me as youngster were F-14 Fleet Defender and Nascar Racing, MS Flightsim 5.0.--I've traveled the country for competitive lan tourneys, winning a few thousand $$$ in prizes along the way -I know the feeling missing of the big event due to an unseated heatsink.--During my online racing career I got to know everyone-who's-anyone in both virtual racing and real racing (Nascar's biggest star once asked me to drive his virtual race car when he was unable to make his own his private online league race. <----for affect :-)--I alpa and beta tested Iracing.--My current puter heroes/gurus/gods are TABS and Bojote and Nick.....Anyway, I'm having fun on here with you guys and this Sandy Bridge rig. I haven't been this stoked with puter hardware in a long, long, long time. My last couple of puter builds (the last being an e8400 on a P5Ne sli) took me 30 seconds to dial in. What kinda fun is that?p.s. If you see my name here (AVSIM forum) as being online, I'm probably in my pajamas.
