The freeware Mirage IIIS Interceptor for FS2004 by Isra is now available for download at http://www.mirage4fs.com. Follow the links on the "What's New" page.Some screenshots and cockpit views of the final version are available on Isra's website.http://www.opus2.ch/page_7.htmA very complete operations manual (and necessary as this is a very complex and feature rich cockpit if you want it to be) is available in both English and French.There are several air-air, air-ground, recon, and clean configurations to choose from. As well as a JATO (working) version.For this release Isra was able to go for a ride in a real Mirage IIIS Simulator of the Swiss Air Force to get a better understanding of how to fly the Mirage for real. Following that a former Mirage test pilot of the Swiss Air Force tested the aircraft in FS2004 and gave Isra some valuable feedback for the flight dynamics.

I couldn't agree more with Dave. This should be a candidate for an AVSIM Gold Star. Raises the bar for freeware FS9 military aircraft by a huge amount and far better than almost all the payware alternatives. Totally immersive, complex yet fun to fly and from what I've seen so far, the flight dynamics are very beleivable. (Not saying realistic because I never flew a Mirage III) But it bleeds off speed in a turn like delta should, has no flaps so requires a pretty typical delta wing approach and landing. In a word - FABULOUS! This is something that every FS9er should have in their hangar

How do you get the JATO to fire?

Hello Guys!This is not a Aircraft to just jump in and have everything be obvious, it's a well thought outreproduction of the real Mirage IIIS cockpit. If you do not read the Readme AND the Manual, you will always have hundreds of questions and you will miss for sure all the features I've putinto this Bird.If it has a VC? I just tried it in FSX and got only 3-5 FPS where I get mostly arround 30-40. Is it really so FPS consuming as it encountered or is there somethin I made wrong? I have to say that I get these 30-40 FPS with the Beech Duke, which is my most used plane in FSX.
