February 22, 201115 yr Yep, I did. I have Nvidia's 3Dvision kit,I have the 3D Vision kit too and the technology is great with FSX. The only problem being is lights (a known problem). I flew into San Diego this morning and the runway lights nearly blinded me. I only fly now in 3D and wish there was a compatible 30" plus monitor. I suspect that technology is coming soon.Best regards,Jim

Single sun.Yeah.P.S. enable DX10 again in other games.
February 22, 201115 yr Hi,Are these 3D glasses only compatible with DX10 and what are the monitor requirements?ThanksBob Officially retired

I am curious about the fix that has been proposed. This is the only downside about the technology. It makes landing at night impossible and landing during the day difficult because you see the lights as if they are right in front of you. Using the 3d with a cockpit like the VRS Superbug is really surreal, and it is hard to go back. Go for it it is just kind of exspensive and I am hoping to also add TrackIR which would really benifit the experience. Mike Keigley
February 22, 201115 yr Hi,Are these 3D glasses only compatible with DX10 and what are the monitor requirements?ThanksBobIn FSX I do not have DX10 preview turned on. It's not a requirement. Here are the system requirements including monitors: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-requirements.html . As you can see there are limited numbers of monitors that are compatible, at least for the NVIDIA 3d Vision Kit. However, I (and others here on AVSIM) have been able to use any monitor/video card using analog stereo glasses (like the ones found in movie theaters). They work in FSX. You just have to download the 3d vision drivers and enable 3d vision and FSX will be in 3d using the analog glasses. However, the view is not as great as the 3d vision kit/glasses from Nvidia as the scene appears very dark and you still have the problem with the lights. But it gives you a great idea as to what FSX looks like in 3D.Best regards,Jim
February 22, 201115 yr Have to agree that it really adds to VFR flights, flying with a sense of depth really adds to the immersion. I no longer use my kit, even put my old monitor back up cause I liked its color more. My major issue with NV3D is I own Flight hardware Saitek/VRi/Goflight and with the glasses on the shutters cause all LEDs to roll and makes everything unreadable.
February 22, 201115 yr I have a 3D tv, and would not mind giving this a shot one day... I almost did in the past, but was kind of lost. All who have accomplished this.... How do you get it to work? Say i download the iz3d drivers, install them , hook my PC up to my tv... What exactly needs to be configured on the PC/FSX before getting this to work? Thanks in advance! <---------------> Mike Murawski
February 23, 201115 yr Yeah... not sure if it will work with my setup...I have 3D tv with active shutter glasses (so my glasses get the sync from the TV). Is there a way to configure the iz3d drive to display the 3d in "side by side" mode when running FSX... So that way when i view the PC on my TV, i can set my TV to SbS mode, and "should" be fine... <---------------> Mike Murawski
February 23, 201115 yr Thanks Jim,3D is and exciting technology. I hope that products continue to improve as it adds a whole new dimension to simulators. thanks againBob In FSX I do not have DX10 preview turned on. It's not a requirement. February 23, 201115 yr ..anyone experienced this technology with FS yet ?????I bought shutter glasses on a CRT w/ a high refresh rate and the effect was ok, but I couldn't handle how washed out, despite adjusting contrast/gamma/brightness, the image got using these. I see the same issue w/ anaglyph glasses on my current LCD monitor, so I avoid these two types of 3D. The 3D effect in FSX was definitely coo, however I would only use 3D if the quality of both stereo images is close to or at the quality you find in higher end single image display. For me, image clarity, contrast, saturation, etc trumps 3D stereo effects.Having said that, how is the current offering now, i.e. the best 3D configuration possible on a mere mortal's budget? February 23, 201115 yr I bought mine after hearing how good Batman Arkham Asylum was in 3D and it and a few other games will truly blow your mind once you experience it as they included a number of additions for the 3Dcrowd. I didn't experience any washouts or graphics degradation, but remember you need a good rig to run 3D as the image load is doubled. I never did bother benchmarking my FSX as I was only flying frame rate friendly GAs at the time. Below is the forum for NV3D users if anyone wants to peruse to see where people stand at right now. For me it was a fad, expensive fad, that I didn't factor in the LED issues. [/url]http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showforum=209
