I see also there is an optional update of KB2488113 which is supposed to fix some Direct3D problem.scott s..

I didn't learn about the release until after I got home. Will install it tomorrow morning to see how it goes.

I installed sp1 onto a laptop. Download of the sp was slow, but the install went OK. After complete windows update popped up 7 new updates to install. Did that. Now I see mscorsvw.exe is eating up most of the cpu. Did some googling and it suggests this is a one-time optimization step for .net assemblies. Will let her run and see if it eventually settles out.Edit: ran for a while and eventually mscorsvw exited.scott s..

Interested to see how it runs for people like me encountering the UIAutomationCore.dll bug.

This didn't fix it for you?Cheers,- jahman.

I installed SP1 for Win7 today. Had a few little snags, but nothing major. My ZBoard Fang stopped working, but there was a new driver for it that fixed that issue, and my Saitek Throttles stopped working. They were recognized by windows, but wouldn't do anything in the control panel applet or in FSX. Unplugging them and plugging them back in, as well as rebooting (including a complete shutdown) did not fix the issue. I finally had to go into my device manager and start uninstalling USB devices and then had Windows scan for hardware changes. Once I did that, both throttles kicked back in and started working. Everything else seems fine so far, though I can't say I notice any change in FSX for the better or for the worse. It seems to run exactly the same as it did for me before installing the service pack.-George

I thought it was strange that it wasnt an auto patch. I think I might just wait a bit till the bugs sorted out.Cheers Greg :(

From Aerosoft:"...Oh Microsoft what did you do to us? While the beta versions of Windows 7, Service Pack 1 did not cause any problems the released version did. Some users will find product de-activated after installing the SP. Not a massive problem as you can just re-activate (and of course we will make sure that we will reset the counter) but still something that kept us awake last night. But a new version is available and updating is easy. Six clicks and all is done. Check it in our forums. ::)

What's the ither one that can't be patched? (I'm looking to upgrade to Win 7 now that SP1 is out...)Thanks!Cheers,- jahman.

Not seeing any problems with SP1 - everything is as before.

The only thing changed was installing SP1 and now FSX is hosed. The application will not start, getting to the first GUI and then quitting, no error message, no entry in the event manager...This sucks...AndrewThe only thing changed was installing SP1 and now FSX is hosed. The way the programme works, there seems to be some problem which causes FSX to crash when running in DX9 mode. Took me an hour to find this...

An update to the eVGA Precision problem I encountered.Uninstalling, including all profile information and then reinstalling seems to clear the issue...Andrew
