Anyone install Win 7 sp1 yet

Featured Replies

I've tried numerous times to let the SP1 install on my Win-7/64-bit system. Each time it fails. Not sure why tho. Even tried downloading the update direct from MS and install it; but still not joy. I did notice that after the first attempt, my FSX w/SP2 wouldn't work! Had to repair the install; however, now, none of my FSDreamTeam scenery will install, or work. BluePrint scenery seems to work fine, but now my system doesn't seem to like anything to do with the DreamTeam's Set-up Add-on Manager from Virtuali. Not a happy camper here! Leave it to MS and their chipheads to screw things up again! Need to get those people out from their cubicals and into the real world! I'll stop venting now!

No problems here - Win 7 Pro 64 bit.FS2004 fires up fine.

No issues in my corner of the world with W7 64 + SP1..... Finally something MS got right for me. :(

Safe & smooth flying,

I can also confirm no issues with installing Windows 7 SP1 onto over 20 computers.

No problem at all with SP1.

MS seems to have run into several issues with W7 SP1 RTM (Release To Market).Recently I have noticed it has been removed from many places where it had been available. MS has issued several statements to various OEM's and others about the defective W7 SP1 RTM.Feel free to google W7 Sp1 RTM problems and I am sure you will find much of this information.
