You don't need a power cable for the Saitek Yoke
I've got something wrong then. It has a connection at its base for a power cable, & my PC won't recognize it as is...

Installed last night with no issues...Haven't done anything with it yet. Do have the new SandyBridge. Will be interested to see if I notice any difference...

OK, I was expecting a software install similar to my X62-F. I loaded up FSX & the yoke works without any external power, so was wrong on that part.EDIT I think my last 2 posts in this thread got moved here from a different topic. I don't recall discussing yokes in the SP1 topic, pretty sure it was something about joysticks.

Installed sp1 yesterday and did a short flight with a high end aircraft today. I Think I experienced a bit higher FPS than I used to, but still experience some stutter...

Just to clarify, I have the saitek yoke, and you don't need a power cable unless you are using it as a USB hub.Of course, there may have been revisions since I got my yoke. But if it was something you needed to operate the yoke, it would have come in the box. BTW: if you're looking to add a lot of realism, buy another throttle quadrant. I have two of them set up, and I can use 2, 3, or 4 throttles for individual engine control, as well as flaps, spoiler, and condition (j41).

W7 SP1 is really just a collection of every updates already published for the system. If your system is already up to date then this service pack changes... absolutely nothing !
That is partially true. Windows 7 SP1 is a collection of all the updates released, along with some other improvements. The others that aren't past updates are behind-the-scenes sort of stuff and the average user wouldn't notice. To those who are having trouble with the large download sizes and not downloading: use windows update and make sure you have all previous updates installed. Windows update selectively downloads what is needed in SP1 where if you download it off the windows site, it's the whole thing whether you need it all or not. Hope this helped!Nick Crate
