Speed it up, slow it down, add new airlines, change some of the phraseology.

Yes, many thanks. I think the thrust of the question was about the ATC voices sounding more realistic rather than robotic. I think everyone would hope that the ATC in Flight would be given some sort of overhaul. It is certainly due for one.

I think it was great for FS2002, but I would agree it would be time for an upgrade.

If you want to hear robots, try a demo of any version of XP.

Very odd comment, since ATC is a vital part of the flight sim experience.  Improving the ATC would be a very natural target for MS.

So what did we get from 9 to 10?And what is "so bad" about the way ATC sounds in either 9 or 10? But then again I am using EVP so maybe I have forgotten!

i am a real life pilot and the voices in fsx sound awful im sure they could take recordings from real atc and edit it for flight.

I am getting totally confused. The orignal contributer is making the point and expressing a wish, as are most of us here, that the quality of the ATC 'voice' in Flight could do with bit of a spruce up. Jim seems to be implying that Edit Voice Package improves the quality of 'voice', where as far as I am aware it does not. Anyway, enough of me. I am going to play Walmart's best Pan Pipe themes on my I-Pod and indulge in some extracurricular activity with some sexy dolphins. Bye.

I hope that the long wait to release or even complete Radar Contact v5 is caused by JD working with MS on Flight.

All you have to do to replace the default voices is to record some 45,000 .wav files in ten voices and then insert tokens in the correct place.
