May 31, 201115 yr Yes the CS757, does save panel state when you save a flight. I've used it in the past and it works quite well, you just have to engage the Autopilot after it loads and it picks up where it was nicely. I too think the CS757 has gotten a bad rap. In the beginning they did deserve it, they had poor support and communication with it's customers. To me it always seemed more from a different cultural background then intentional arrogance, but that was how it appeared to many. They mostly did do what they promised they would do, but it took them years to do it, at least or FSX. I know some for FS2004 were never realized, but from a business perspective I could understand that, as FSX was the new kid on the block. For example the promise of systems for it's Block B 757. It took them more then 2 years, but they did produce it. At some point a metamorphosis took place, and they considerably improved their support, and updates to their addon's are more timely. While I don't use the 767 too often, I do fly the 757, and I think she handles quite well. For the most part system wise, she is more detailed then even the LDS or PMDG. Now before everyone jumps on me let me explain what I mean. On the CS757, just about every button and knob are selectable and with few (non critical) exceptions functions as expected. Not even the Queen of the sky PMDG 744 can boast that. Even some knobs on the main panel are non functional, same for the LDS-767. Functions you wouldn't expect like the cockpit door work. Lock it on the CS757 and try and open it. Now try that on the PMDG744. It also has a functioning tiller, granted it's still linked to the rudders, but that's more a limitation of FS then a problem with the model. At least though if one wants to use it to steer on the ground using the mouse they can. The one system area I think needs improvement on is it's night lighting. It's better then many addons but not as good as the best like PMDG or LDS. All this being said, I still think the PMDG and LDS are still better, as their systems seemed more refined. May 31, 201115 yr Author Let me add that saving a panel stated works , but not when using a Fp with the FMC.At least I have not succeeded in that.Flying on the AP By hand can be saved. What's a "Fp"? You suggest that the flightplan entered into the FMC does not get saved? I guess that sort of defeats the entire purpose of saving the panel being. What's the point if not all of the systems are saved, or at least the most vital ones? May 31, 201115 yr Nice video,Tom!BTW I also do not have issues with FP saving and with many things people complain here. Actually the 757 is good for me as is, even without 4.5 Regards,Stan
June 2, 201115 yr Author Went ahead ans imply installed the plane. It's nice to see her back, and with that free McPhat AA livery it looks stunngon all sides. i'm not a fan at all of the VC night lighting, though. You can't see at all what buttons are pressed ON and which ones not. Luckily I'm not the night flyer type, but it's a pity... Plus, can't hear the packs running. Is that how it should be? June 2, 201115 yr Interesting thread. I may try and reinstall my CS 757. Haven't flown it since I bought the Quality Wings 757 but I'm tempted to try it again as the CS cockpit and VC is sharper and the systems are modelled more accurately. However I think the QW 757 has more realistic flight dynamics and sounds. The CS 757 kept doing weird things with the AP switched on so I never bothered installing it on my new win 7 64bit pc. The flight directors on both the 727 and C-130 don't work remotely like they should. And the FMS is still very squirly in the 757. The 727 is like a love-lost salmon tracking a VOR radial. They look great though. And the night lighting is solid. Colin
