Hi All,As long as I have been using FSX and computers in general I had never ever seen this utility - Freeware - http://www.inputdirector.com/A little confusing at first but got it set up and it works fantastic but havent yet tried it with FSX. The idea is that you have a master and x number of slaves. This installation is done on all computers that you wish to control with 1 keyboard and mouse.I found out accidently that if you move your mouse past your computer screen it shows up on the other computer as if you had a two monitor setup, even thoughthere are hotkeys to move control from master to slave and visa-versa.I moved my mouse cursor to the right and it just happens my other monitor is on the right so not sure if there is an option for left or right. Seems to work flawlessly for the last 30 minutes of testing. Also, it allows you to share the clipboard allowing the transfer of files and of course cut and paste etc very easy.Many more features you can view from the link above. Also a beta version available with new features if interestedWow what a find. I think I will set it up on my wifes computer and have a little fun tonight :( Honey, my mouse moves all by itself.RegardsBob

Well, it seems to work great.I have fsx and another computer sharing the same monitor as my master and 2 other computers now configured, and is working flawlessly. I was always reaching for the other keyboard and mouse which shares the 2 other computers. This little app really makes a difference.You might want to check out the beta. Some of what it comprises are new features but also some bug fixes with the win7 OS. I am using Win7 on both master and slave so maybe the fix has something to do with different OS's sharing master and slave.Bob

I have been using a program called synergy for few years now, does the same thing, its free and the code is open source. Couldn't live without it.

Yep, I was kindly introduced to that by I forgot who but I've been using it for a year. A few little mishaps example I lost connection to my other machine once (even though the icon indicated it was working properly) - all I had to do was "reset server" and worked fine again. On my older main rig if FSX was getting choppy the mouse was a little choppy on the slave machine.

There is an a setting in the options, put a check the box that says "Don't take foreground window on window servers"

To prevent FSX minimising you have to check "Dont take foreground window on Windows servers.You will find that under Advanced server settings.EDIT: Sorry Mr Speaker, did not read your post above.Bryan.

I'm feeling like a total computer newbie now, not knowing that such great (and free!) little programs existed. :(A big thanks to all of you since these little tools are a blast on my 2 or 3 systems now. Wow! Amazing thing and much better than my "high fat" payware solution in use when just wanting to avoid an array of mice and keyboards when flying. :(

It is right up there CooIp, in the cannot do without basket. I discovered it yesterday on the iFly forum.

I found this a few months back myself and use it all the time between my desktop and laptop. FSX in full screen on the desktop and Plan G networked on the laptop. Pretty easy to setup and working great for me too!
